5a + 4.75b = 72.50 is the equation in standard form to represent the situation

Solution:

Let the number of bucket sold be ‘a’ at $5 each and the number of hotdogs sold be ‘b’ at $4.75 each. Then after 1 hour she makes $72.50

So, on the basis of the above problem we can make an equation as follows:-

The equation for number of popcorn and hotdogs sold after 1 hour:

$72.50 = number of bucket sold x price of popcorn per bucket + number of hotdogs sold x price of hotdog

72.50 = 5a + (4.75)b

5a + 4.75b = 72.50

The above Equation is equivalent to the standard form of linear equation which is Ax + By = C

where A, B, and C are real numbers, and A and B are both not zero

Hence, the best choice is standard form as it has two variables in it we can solve the equation to get the value of variables in it

A rectangular rug has a perimeter of 220 feet. The width of the rug is two feet less than the length. Find the length and the wi
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

The length is 56 and the width is 54.

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of a rectangle is 2x+2y (width and length on both sides). so 2x+2y=220. Also x=y-2, because the width is 2 feet less than the length. Fill x=y-2 in 2x+2y=220 and we get 2(y-2)+2y=220. 2y-4+2y=220. 4y=216. y=54. Fill in y=54 in 2x+2y=220 and we get 2x+2(54)=220. 2x=220-2(54)=112. x=56.

Step-by-step explanation:

With reference angle B

Perpendicular (p) = 16

base (b) = 30

so

Tan B = p/ b

= 16/30

= 8/15

kykrilka [37]

Answer:

Equivalent

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at 6/18. 18 divided by 6 is 3, which is the denominator. 6 divided by 6 is 1, so the numerator. So 1/3.
