Which of Newton's laws explains why satellites need very little fuel to stay in oribit?
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Sattelites don't need any fuel to stay in orbit. The applicable law is...."objects in motion tend to stay in motion". Having reached orbital velocity, any such object is essentially "falling" around the earth. Since there is no (or at least very little) friction in the vacuum of space, the object does not slow.... It simply continues.

Sattelites in "low" earth orbit do encounter some friction from the very thin upper atmosphere, and they will eventually "decay".

oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

1) a substance made by mixing other substances together.

2) diverse in character or content.

3) of the same kind; alike.

4) a means of solving a problem or dealing with a difficult situation.

5) a homogeneous noncrystalline substance consisting of large molecules or ultramicroscopic particles of one substance dispersed through a second substance. Colloids include gels, sols, and emulsions; the particles do not settle, and cannot be separated out by ordinary filtering or centrifuging like those in a suspension.

Two equal resistors are connected in series with a 1.50V battery. In order to keep the current at 0.030 A, the resistors much ea
AlexFokin [52]

Answer: 25 Ohms

Explanation:

From this question, the following parameters are given:

Voltage V = 1.5 v

Current I = 0.03A

From Ohm's law;

V = IR

Where R = resultant resistance of the two resistors.

Substitute V and I into the formula and make resultant R the subject of formula.

1.5 = 0.03 × R

R = 1.5/0.03

R = 50 Ohms

From the question, it is given that Thr two equal resistors are connected in series.

R = R1 + R2

But R1 = R2

50 = 2R1

R1 = 50/2

R1 = 25

R1 = R2 = 25 Ohms

Therefore, the resistors must each have a value of 25 Ohms

The force applied when using a simple machine ??
beks73 [17]
Answer : I hope this helps !

The Effort Force is the force applied to a machine. Work input is the work done on a machine. The work input of a machine is equal to the effort force times the distance over which the effort force is exerted.
