I think what happens is that the Cyclin component of the MPF is degraded.  MPF or mitosis promoting factor, consists of two important cell cycle regulatory protein called the cyclin and cyclin dependent kinases (CDK). The cdk and the cyclins are the major control switches for the cell cycle, causing the cell to move from G1 to S or G2 to M.

Answer:

Option C, the cyclin component of mpf is degraded.

Explanation:

MPF stands for Maturation promoting factor which is a protein complex that makes a cell realize its crucial time of division and formation of new cells.

It acts as a check point and regulates the progression of cell division from G2 stage to M stage and also check whether the cell has grown effectively by G2 stage.

MPF is made up of Cdk (Cyklin dependent kinase) protein and cyclin. The level of Cdk and cyclin reduces as the cell division progress.

 hence, option C is correct

Most CO2 from catabolism is released during
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

The correct answer is option b. "the citric acid cycle".

Explanation:

The citric acid cycle is one of the most important pathways of the cellular metabolism because of its role in energy production and biosynthesis. The citric acid cycle is where most of the CO2 from catabolism is released. This happens by the release of two molecules of CO2 per turn in the cycle, using the two atoms of carbon from acetyl CoA.
