The sum of 16 and 4 is equal to 20.
This is how I know:
20-16=4
How do I know this?
Sum means to <u>add</u>. To get the sum of something that equals another number, you must see what number adds up with 16 to get 20. So, this means that 16+4=20.

Hope this helps. <3 :)

" the sum " means add

16 + x = 20 <= ur equation
x = 20 - 16
x = 4 <== the number

Answer:

a.) P(HH|C)=2/5

Explanation:

Given following:

  • P(HH) = 7
  • P(C) = 10
  • P(HH ∩ C) = 4
  • P(HH ∪ C) = 13

Solving steps:

\sf P(HH|C) = \dfrac{P(HH \cap C) }{P(C)}

\sf P(HH|C) = \dfrac{4 }{10}

\sf P(HH|C) = \dfrac{2 }{5}

A parallelogram has a base of 4.5 cm and an area of 9.495 cm². Tania wrote the equation 4.5x = 9.495 to represent this situation
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

The height of the parallelogram is 2.11 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the parallelogram is equal to multiplication of base and height.

Given:

Parallelogram has base of 4.5 cm.

Are of the parallelogram is 9.495 cm².

Equation is 4.5x=9.495

Calculation:

(a)

Are of the parallelogram is the product of base length and height of the parallelogram.

Area of the parallelogram is expressed as follow:

A=lh

Substitute 9.495 cm² for A and 4.5 cm for l in above equation as follows:

9.495=4.5h             …… (1)

Now relate the equation (1) and given equation. So, here x is nothing but the height of the parallelogram.

(b)

From equation (1), height of the parallelogram is calculated as follows:

9.495=4.5h

h=\frac{9.495}{4.5}

h=2.11 cm

Thus, the height of the parallelogram is 2.11 cm.
