A gas has a pressure of 853.0 millibars at a temperature of 29.0 °C. If the volume is unchanged but the temperature is increased
Nitella [24]

The new pressure of the gas that initially have a pressure of 853.0 millibars at a temperature of 29.0 °C is 1011.17 millibars. Details about pressure can be found below.

How to calculate pressure?

The pressure of a given gas can be calculated using the following formula:

P1/T1 = P2/T2

Where;

 • P1 = initial pressure = 853.0 millibars
 • P2 = final pressure = ?
 • T1 = initial temperature = 29°C + 273 = 302K
 • T2 = final temperature = 85°C + 273 = 358K

853/302 = P2/358

358 × 853 = 302P2

305374 = 302P2

P2 = 305374 ÷ 302

P2 = 1011.17 millibars

Therefore, the new pressure of the gas that initially have a pressure of 853.0 millibars at a temperature of 29.0 °C is 1011.17 millibars.

Compare the arrangements of individual particles in solids, liquids, and has
erastovalidia [21]
Solids have particles that stay in place and vibrate (least energy)
Liquids have enough energy to slide past each other and have no definite shape.
Gas has a lot of energy and moves freely with no certain shape or volume

Why are lightning formed in clouds?
VladimirAG [237]

Explanation:

Because opposites attract, the negative charge at the bottom of the storm cloud wants to link up with the ground’s positive charge. Once the negative charge at the bottom of the cloud gets large enough, a flow of negative charge called a stepped leader rushes toward the Earth. The positive charges at the ground are attracted to the stepped leader, so positive charge flows upward from the ground. When the stepped leader and the positive charge meet, a strong electric current carries positive charge up into the cloud. This electric current is known as the return stroke. We see it as the bright flash of a lightning bolt.

Thunder and lightning occur at roughly the same time although you see the flash of lightning before you hear the thunder. This is because light travels much faster than sound
