Why was multiple personality disorder renamed?

Health
1 answer:

Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) also known as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) was changed to such because as people have become more aware of what this disorder truly means - there have been some major changes.

When you hear the word personality you reflect upon the individual's actions, behavior, mood, etc. A patient with DID lacks one way of acting, they circulate throughout multiple personalities.

A reason for changing this is to highlight that the problem is not multiple personalities, it's the fact they do not possess a unified one.

Hope this helps!

Listeria monocytogenes pathogenesis is directly related to its ability toA) produce a powerful toxinB) form endosporesC) produce
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

A and E

Explanation:

Listeria monocytogenes is a Gram-positive bacterium, mobile by means of flagella. CANNOT form capsules and / or endospores; It is a pathogenic bacterium, normally present in the environment. It is capable of living both in the soil and in the cytosol of a eukaryotic cell.

L. monocytogenes can enter host cells through endocytosis, this phagocytic vacuole is rapidly lysed by the listeriolysin O (LLO) toxin produced by the bacteria. Once free in the cytosol, it expresses the genes to acquire the necessary nutrients for intracellular multiplication and spread between cells and this is precisely what allows it to evade the humoral immune response.
