Answer:

The Work Done is 3 \times 10^5 \ J.

Explanation:

Since , the equipment is pulled  in horizontal horizontal plane.

Therefore, its normal reaction must be equal to its weight.

So, Normal reaction, N=6000\ N.

We know, frictional force , F=\mu\times N.

(Where N is Normal reaction and \mu is coefficient of kinetic friction )

Therefore, F=0.05 \times 6000\ N=300 \ N.

We know ,

                  Work Done , W=F\times D

( Here D is distance covered by the force)

Putting, D=1000 m.

We get , Work Done=300\times 1000 \ J\\=3\times 10^5 \ J.

Two campers in a national park hike from their cabin to the same spot on a lake, each taking a different path, as illustrated be
elixir [45]

Answer:

<em>Their displacement is 5 Km from the cabin.</em>

Explanation:

The displacement is define is the shortest distance between two points. It is the shortest distance of a line that joins two points together. It quantifies both the distance and direction of the net or total motion along a straight line from the initial position to the final position of the point trajectory. In this case, the straight line joining the cabin to the stream is line S which is equal to 5 Km

Find the magnitude of the torque that acts on the molecule when it is immersed in a uniform electric field of 6.19×105 N/C with
Ivan

Answer:

\tau=5.81\times 10^5p\ N-m

Explanation:

We have,

Electric field, E=6.19\times 10^5\ N/C

The electric dipole vector at an angle of 69.9 degrees from the direction of the field.

The torque acting on a molecule is given by :

\tau=p\times E\\\\\tau=pE\sin\theta

p is electric dipole moment

\tau=p\times 6.19\times 10^{5}\times \sin (69.9)\\\\\tau=5.81\times 10^5p\ N-m

So, the magnitude of the torque acting on the molecule is 5.81\times 10^5p\ N-m.
