What happens when you go up in the atmosphere

Rise in altitude is directly proportional to decrease in pressure

The earth's atmosphere has its own pressure known as atmospheric pressure. The pressure level is highest right at the surface of the earth because the air at this level is supporting the weight of all the air above it. More weight above means a greater downward gravitational force. As we move up through levels of the atmosphere, the air has less air mass above it and gravity isn’t strong enough to pull down a greater number of particles. So the balancing pressure decreases. This is why atmospheric pressure drops as we rise in altitude.

A series RL circuit with L = 3.00 H and a series RC circuit with C = 3.00 F have equal time constants. If the two circuits conta
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

(a) R = 1Ω

(b) τ = 3

Explanation:

The time constants of the given circuits are as follows

\tau_{RL} = \frac{L}{R}\\\tau_{RC} = RC

If the two circuits have equal time constants, then

\frac{L}{R} = RC\\R^2 = \frac{L}{C} = \frac{3}{3} = 1\\R = 1\Omega

Therefore, the time constant in any of the circuits is

\tau = RC = 3

Given that o.2i+bj+o.4k is a unit vector, what is the value of b?
pishuonlain [190]

Answer:

b = 0.89

Explanation:

The given vector is, A=0.2i+bj+0.4k

A is a unit vector

We need to find the value of b.

For a unit vector, |A| = 1

So,

0.2^2+b^2+0.4^2=1\\\\0.04+b^2+0.16=1\\\\0.2+b^2=1\\\\b^2=1-0.2\\\\b=0.89

So, th value of b is 0.89.
