Yes, Ionic bonds do not share electrons. Polar covalent bonds share electrons they just share them unevenly due to the polarity.

A crow flies 100 meters east in 5 minutes. What is the crow’s velocity?
torisob [31]

Answer: 20 m/min east

Explanation: The speed is distance divided by time

distance between start-point and end-point = 100 meters

time to cover the distance = 5 minutes

100 m ÷ 5 min = 20 m/min east

you have to add east since velocity is the measure of speed and direction and your answer needs to include the direction

Answer:

easy

Explanation:

In physics and chemistry, the law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant; it is said to be conserved over time. A system gains 687 kJ of heat, resulting in a change in internal energy of the system equal to 156 kJ. How much work is done?
Maslowich

Answer:

w = -531 kJ

1. Work was done by the system.

Explanation:

Step 1: Given data

 • Heat gained by the system (q): 687 kJ (By convention, when the system absorbs heat, q > 0).
 • Change in the internal energy of the system (ΔU°): 156 kJ

Step 2: Calculate the work done (w)

We will use the following expression.

ΔU° = q + w

w = ΔU° - q

w = 156 kJ - 687 kJ

w = -531 kJ

By convention, when w < 0, work is done by the system on the surroundings.
