Describe at least three commercial uses and at least two medical uses of nuclear energy and/or radioisotopes.
SashulF [63]

Nuclear medicine uses radiation to provide diagnostic information about the functioning of a person's specific organs, or to treat them. Diagnostic procedures using radioisotopes are now routine.

Radiotherapy can be used to treat some medical conditions, especially cancer, using radiation to weaken or destroy particular targeted cells.

Over 40 million nuclear medicine procedures are performed each year, and demand for radioisotopes is increasing at up to 5% annually.

Sterilization of medical equipment is also an important use of radioisotopes.

1. What is the density, in g/cm², of a substance weighing 22.2 cg with dimensions of 0.333
RUDIKE [14]
  • Mass=22.2cg=2.22g

Volume:-

\\ \tt\longmapsto 0.333(0.444)(0.555)=0.08cm^3

So

\\ \tt\longmapsto Density=\dfrac{Mass}{Volume}

\\ \tt\longmapsto Density=\dfrac{2.22}{0.08}=27.75g/cm^3

Plz help, I will give brainliest.

Answer: The value of K_c is 2

Explanation:

Moles of  N_2O_4 = 1.0 mole

Volume of solution = 1.00 L

Initial concentration of N_2O_4 = \frac{1.0mol}{1.00L}=1.0M

Equilibrium concentration of NO_2 = \frac{1.0mol}{1.00L}=1.0M

The given balanced equilibrium reaction is,

                            N_2O_4(g)\rightleftharpoons 2NO_2(g)

Initial conc.          1.0 M            0 M

At eqm. conc.     (1.0-x) M      (2x) M

The expression for equilibrium constant for this reaction will be,

K_c=\frac{[NO_2]^2}{[N_2O_4]}

Given : 2x = 1.0

x= 0.5

Now put all the given values in this expression, we get :

K_c=\frac{(1.0)^2}{(1.0-0.5)}

K_c=2

Thus the value of K_c is 2

Explain how medeleeves periodic table differs from mosley
sergey [27]

Answer: Mendeleev's periodic law was that the properties of elements varies periodically with the atomic weight. Moseley's periodic law or modern periodic law is that the properties of elements are periodic function of their atomic number
