ad-work [718]

Answer:

10cm^3

Explanation:

Given data

Mass of steel = 80grams

density of steel= 8 g/cm^3

We know that the formula for density is given as

density= mass/volume

make volume subject of formula

volume= mass/density

volume=80/8

volume= 10cm^3

Hence, the volume 10cm^3

How do u work out weight c and d and what r the answers
Ket [755]
The whole secret of things that are balanced on a pivot like this is:

The sum of all of the 'moments' is equal on both sides.

The moment of each weight is  (the weight) times (its distance from the pivot).
If you add up those for each eight on one side, it has to be equal to the sum
of all the ones on the other side.

<u>2. a).</u>
The moments on the right side are:  (4 x 0.15) and (1 x 0.40).
They add up to  (0.60 + 0.40) = 1.00

The only moment on the left side is  (C x 0.25).  Both sides have to be equal.

C x 0.25 = 1.00

Divide each side by 0.25, and you have    C = 4 N .

===========================================

<u>2. b).</u>
The only moment on the left side is  (5 x 0.40) = 2.00

The moments on the right side are (1 x 0.20) and (D x 0.30)
They add up to  (0.3D + 0.2).

Both sides have to be equal.    0.3D + 0.2 = 2.0

Subtract 0.2 from each side:      0.3D  =  1.8

Divide each side by 0.3:                D = 6 N

PHYSICS HELP<br> PLEASE HELP ITS ABOUT ATWOOD MACHINES
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

7.23407 \frac{m}{s^2}

Explanation:

(I will not include units in calculations)

I'm assuming FBD's are already drawn, so I will work from there.

Let the 2.2kg block equal m_2, and the 20kg block equal m_1.

Summation equation for m_2: \sum F_x=F_t_2-(F_f+F_g_x)=m_2a, \sum F_y=F_n-F_g_y=0

Summation equation for m_1: \sum F_y=F_g-F_t_1=m_1a

Torque Summation Equation: \sum\tau=F_t_1*r-F_t_2*r=I\alpha

Do some plugging in with the values given: \sum\tau=F_t_1*r-F_t_2*r=.5Mr^2\alpha

Replace \alpha with \frac{a}{r}, and cancel out the r's.

\sum\tau=F_t_1-F_t_2=.5Ma

This step is important: Rearrange the force summation equation to solve for each tension force.

F_t_2=m_2a+F_f+F_g_x\\F_t_1=m_1g=m_1a

Perform Substitution: \sum\tau=m_1g-m_1a-(m_2a+F_f+F_g_x)=.5Ma

Now, we need to find the friction force and the horizontal component of the force of gravity.

Note that F_f=μF_n

And based on our earlier summation equation: F_n=F_g_y

First, break F_g into x and y components. F_g_y=F_g\cos(\theta), F_g_x=F_g\sin(\theta)

Perform substitution with this and the fact that F_g=mg.

\sum\tau=m_1g-m_1a-(m_2a+\mu*m_2g\cos(\theta)+m_2g\sin(\theta))=.5Ma

Solving for a, plugging in numbers yields an answer of 7.23407 \frac{m}{s^2}

You have designed and constructed a solenoid to produce a magnetic field equal in magnitude to that of the Earth (5.0 10-5 T). I
saul85 [17]

Answer:

I = 0.03637 A

Explanation:

The given data in the question is

Magnetic field : B = 5.0 \times 10^{-5} T

Turns : N = 350

Length : L = 32 cm = 0.32 m

So, number of turns per unit length :

n=\frac{N}{L}

n=\frac{350\: turns}{0.32 m}

n=1093.75 \: turns \: per \: meter

If current is I , then magnetic field is given by

B = \mu_{0} \times n \times I

Also,

I = \frac{B}{\mu_{0} \times n}

Insert the values

I = \frac{5.0 \times 10^{-5}}{4 \pi \times 10^{-7} \times 1093.75} A

I = 0.03637 A

The current will be I = 0.03637 A
