Diversifying selection typically results in a population with only one allele. purifying selection best describes the removal of

deleterious alleles. stabilizing selection increases genetic variation within a population. balancing selection typically increases the frequency of one allele while decreasing the frequency of others. directional selection occurs when heterozygotes are more fit than either homozygous genotype.

Discribe the processes of transcriotion and translation
gogolik [260]

Answer:

Please find the explanation of transcription and translation below using the key words.

Explanation:

Transcription is the process whereby a gene in a DNA template is used to synthesize a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule in the nucleus of the cell. This process of transcription occurs with the aid of an enzyme called RNA POLYMERASE, which adds the nucleotides complementary to the one it reads in the gene to the growing mRNA strand.

Translation, on the other hand, is the second process of gene expression involving the synthesis of proteins from the mRNA sequence. This process occurs in the RIBOSOME where a group of three nucleotides in the mRNA called CODON is read by another group of complementary nucleotide in the transfer RNA (tRNA) called ANTICODON. The tRNA then carries amino acids corresponding to what is read in the codon to the growing polypeptide chain.

Why did a well-known pharmacologist refer to the recreational use of cocaine, crack cocaine, amphetamine, and methamphetamine as
Dimas [21]

Answer:

The answers are c)are the most reinforcing, generate the greatest immediate sensual appeal, and produce the most powerful psychological dependence.

Explanation:

Like all psychoactive substances, amphetamines affect the central nervous system and have stimulating effects (empathy, sensuality, confusion, etc.), producing an alert state along with various reactions in perception. Some individuals also report optical and auditory illusions. On many occasions this is also favored by the existence of intense visual and auditory stimuli, as happens for example at parties. However, most of these desired effects have tolerance with repeated doses of the same substances and even cross tolerance with doses of other substances. With the appearance of this tolerance other effects appear such as aggressiveness, anxiety symptoms, panic attacks, etc.

Among the medical complications related to the use of these substances, acute neurological complications, seizures and cerebrovascular diseases stand out.

Which statement describes the light reaction of photosynthesis?
Hoochie [10]
It would be D. Water molecules are split apart and the byproduct of that would be the O2. As energy enters the chloroplasts, the energy excited the H2O molecules and causes them to split
