First you must multiply the denominators to make them the same number; 4 times 5=20 so your new denominator is 20 then multiply the three times four= 12 then the one times five=5 then you add, 12/20+5/20= 17/20. And that answer is also in simplest form.

Now...

y = 60° ( being corresponding angle )

Now...

60° + 70° + z = 180° ( the sum of interior angle of triangle is 180°

z = 180° - 130°

Mr. Gold had 4 times more cars than motorcycles in his garage. After he bought 4 more cars and sold 4 motorcycles, there were 8
fenix001 [56]

Answer: 36 cars and 9 motorcycles

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. It's given that he has x motorcycles to 4x cars
  2. After he bought the cars and sold the motorcycles, he had 4x+4 cars to x-4 motorcycles
  3. Since after this selling/buying, he has 8 times more cars than motorcycles, you can write the equation 4x+4=8(x-4)
  4. Once you solve you get 36 cars and 9 motorcycles

The area of a square is 625 cm^2. What is the measure of the diagonal to the nearest tenth?
anyanavicka [17]
Area = 625 cm^2

Area = s^2
Diagonal = s*sqrt(2)

625 = s^2
s = sqrt(625)
s = 25 cm.

Diagonal = s*sqrt(2)
= 25sqrt(2)
=35.36 cm.
=35.4 cm.
