Answer: There are 12 possible outcomes in the sample space.

To find all of the possible outcomes, you have to start with the possibilities for the deck of cards. There are 4, clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades (C, D, H, S).

Then, for the spinner, the choices are 1, 2, or 3.

Each of the suits will have each one of the numbers. The 12 different possibilities are listed below.

C1 C2 C3
D1 D2 D3
H1 H2 H3
S1 S2 S3

GalinKa [24]

Answer:

perimeter = 28.13 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate the length of a line drawn from A to C.

sin 85 = b/8, b = 7.97

cos 85 = c/8, c = 0.697

AC² =7.97² + (6 + 0.697)² = 63.52 + 44.85 = 108.37

AC = 10.41

Now you have a right triangle ADC with a known hypotenuse and one leg.

Using the Pythagorean theorem:

DC² = 10.41² - 5²

DC² = 108.37 - 25 = 83.37

DC = 9.13 cm

perimeter = 5 + 6 + 8 + 9.13 = 28.13 cm

What is −34, 0.5, 23,−73, 1.2 in order from least to greatest?
denpristay [2]

Answer:

-73, -34, 0.5, 1.2, 23

Step-by-step explanation:

In Mathematics, the set of numbers are arranged in two ways. It means that the numbers can be arranged either in ascending order or descending order. If the numbers are arranged from the least to the greatest, then it is called ascending order. In this form, the numbers are in increasing order. The first number should be lesser than the second number.

If the numbers are arranged from the greatest to the least, then it is called descending order. In this form, the numbers are in decreasing form. The first number should be greater than the second number.

Standard Form

The standard form to represent the least to the greatest arrangement of numbers is given by:

a < b < c < d < …..

Here,

a, b, c, d represent the numbers

Example: 2 < 5 < 7 < 8

Assume the sample below is a perfectly random sample of students at a school. How much greater is the mean of the
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

0.75

Step-by-step explanation:

The table is not well presented (See Attachment)

There are at least two approaches to this question

Method 1:

Steps

1. Calculate the mean of reported heights

Mean of reported heights = (61+68+57.5+48.5+75+65+80+68+69+63)/10

Mean of reported heights = 655/10

Mean of reported heights = 65.5

2. Calculate the mean of measured heights

Mean of measured heights = (62 + 68 + 56.5 + 47 + 72 + 65 + 78 + 67 + 69.5 + 62.5)/10

Mean of measured heights = 647.5/10

Mean of measured heights = 64.75

3. Get their difference

Difference = Mean of reported heights - Mean of measured heights

Difference = 65.5 - 64.75

Difference = 0,75

Method 2: Calculate the mean of their difference

Mean of difference = Sum of difference / Number of observations

Mean of difference = (-1 + 0 + 1 + 1.5 + 3 + 0 + 2 + 1 – 0.5 + 0.5)/10

Mean of difference = 7.5/10

Mean of difference = 0.75

Note that in both cases, the result is 0,75.

Hence, the reported heights at the school is 0.75 greater than the actual measured height
