Answer:

The answer is L=\frac{P-2*W}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve for L, we have to free the L variable.

Mathematically, we have to subtract, add, multiply or divide the same terms from each side of the equation. In that way, we can change the equation and free a variable.

Therefore, we have to subtract 2*W term, and then we have to divide by 2.

So,

P=2*L+2*W\\P-2*W=2*L+2*W-2*W\\P-2*W=2*L\\\frac{P-2*W}{2}=\frac{2*L}{2}\\ L=\frac{P-2*W}{2}

Finally, the expression for L is L=\frac{P-2*W}{2}

Subtract 2W from both sides

2L = P - 2W

divide both sides by 2

L = P/2 - W

7 kg of soybean oil which costs $4/kg were combined with 14kg of canola oil which cost $1/kg. Find the cost per kg mixture
Dmitry [639]

Answer:

Cost per kg = $2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

7kg of soybean oil costs $4/kg

So 7kg of soybean oil will cost = 7 * 4 = $28

14kg of canola oil costs $1/kg

So 14kg of canola oil will cost = 1* 14 = $14

Now for mixture:

Quantity of (soybean oil + canola oil) = Cost of  (soybean oil + canola oil)

7kg + 14kg = $28 + $14

21kg = $42

Now finding cost per kg of mixture:

Cost per kg = $42/21

Cost per kg = $2

i hope it will help you!
