  • Point-Slope form: y-y_1=m(x-x_1) , with (x_1,y_1) as a point on the line and m = slope
  • Slope-Intercept form: y=mx+b , with m = slope and b = y-intercept.
  • Slope Formula: \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

So firstly, we have to convert this standard form equation into slope-intercept form. To start with, add x on both sides of the equation: 3y=x+6

Next, divide both sides by 3 and your slope-intercept form is y=\frac{1}{3}x+2 .

Next, since we know one of the points, the y-intercept (0,2), and the slope, 1/3. We can use the slope formula to get to point-slope form. Our equation looks like this:

\frac{y-2}{x-0}=\frac{1}{3}\\\\\frac{y-2}{x}=\frac{1}{3}

For this, just multiply both sides by x and <u>your point-slope form is y-2=\frac{1}{3}(x)</u>

Point slope form is y-y1= m(x-x1)
So u need another x and y ull hav to guess with what u hav so like it could start as 2-1 or 3-0 but it’s ur choice

Step2247 [10]

Answer:

x² + y² = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle centred at the origin is

x² + y² = r² ← r is the radius]Here r = 2, thus

x² + y² = 4

You put the 0 if it is close to 0, the 1/2 if it is closer to half, 1 if it is equal or closer to one, and the >1 if it is over one

A taxicab charges $3.00 per person
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

I believe the answer would be 20 miles max for one passenger.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is because if you create an equation out of this, knowing that only one passenger will be riding, you will get:

$3.00+$1.25x=$28       ($3 added too $1.25 times the number of miles (x) which equals the total amount you have ($28)).

x being the number of miles (so we need to calculate for x)

$3 + $1.25x = $28

-subtract 3 on both sides-

$1.25x=$28-$3

$1.25x=$25

-divide by 1.25 on both sides-

x=$25/$1.25

x=20 miles

Not sure if all calculations are correct, but I hope this helps :)!
