She graphed it correctly.

The inequality 3y \le 2x is the same as y \le \frac{2}{3}x after dividing both sides by 3 to isolate y.

From here you graph y = \frac{2}{3}x which is a straight line through (0,0) and (3,2). This line is made solid because of the "or equal to" as part of the inequality sign above.

We shade below the solid boundary due to the "less than" portion of the inequality sign.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

The way this is worded, it sounds like it is a horizontal distance. However by the marking it looks like they want the hypotenuse. Life can be very confusing sometimes.

The angle of the triangle that you need to know is the one on the right. The line of sight line is parallel to the base of the triangle. So the angle on the right is 8 degrees by the Z theorem.

Solution

Sin(8) = 1817 / x           Multiply both sides by x

x*sin(8) = 1817             Divide by sin(8)

x = 1817/sin(8)

sin(8) = 0.1392

x = 1817/0.1392

x = 13055.7

Note

Watch how you do this. I would put it into your calculator as

1817

÷

sin(8)

=

If you use the rounded answer I gave for sin(8), you might get it wrong. This is a big distance and you should just use the exact number you get for sin(8).

Nicholas sprints the length of a football field. If a football field measures 100 yards and 1 yard is approximately 0.914 meter,
KatRina [158]

Answer:

91.4 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question:

1 yard = 0.914 meter

100 yards = x meters

x meter = 100 × 0.914 meters

x = 91.4 meters

Therefore, Nicholas sprinted 91.4 meters

Answer:

Blue Rectangle: 135 mm²

Blue Triangle: 45 mm²

Not sure if you need this but the Total Square: 225 mm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a rectangle: length x width

Area of a triangle: \frac{1}{2} x base x height

First find the area of the blue rectangle.

Length = 15 mm

Width = 9 mm

Area = 135 mm²

Now find the area of the blue triangle:

Base = 6 mm (because the bottom is 15 total and you subtract the 9)

Height = 15 mm

Area = 45 mm²

Hope it helps!
