First, start of by saying what the probability of getting a 4 is, which is 1/6.
Now, this means the probability of not getting a 4 is 1-(1/6)=(5/6), since the total probability is 1.

After doing this, you should think about what it means to only get 4 on the last trial, the 4th trial.  It means that the probabilities of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trial were (5/6) each.  The 4th trial had a probability of (1/6).  So the probability would be calculated as following: ((5/6)^3*(1/6)=5^3/6^4.  You can use a calculator or your computer to find out that the probability is 125/1296.

Suppose there were m married couples, but that d of these 2m. people have died, Regard the d deaths as striking the 2m people at
iren2701 [21]

The function that represents surviving people are X = 2m - d

Given that there are m married couples and d of the 2m of these couples have died, the total people that remain is expressed as:

Total people remaining = Total married couple - those that died

Total married couple = 2m

Total people that died = d

Taking the difference to get the remaining people;

Total people remaining = 2m - d

Hence the function that represents surviving people are X = 2m - d

Please Help!<br> Please write a sentence or more about the difference between each plot
topjm [15]
Box Plot has less variability in the data.  We can determine this by the distances between the beginning of the data to the end (range) and the distances between lower quartile and the upper quartile (interquartile range).

Box #1
Range - 30
IQR - 15

Box #2
Range - approximately 23
IQR - approximately 9

Box #2 has less variation in the data because the distances between these 2 ranges are smaller meaning the data is closer together.
