A commercial laundry charges $5.25 per load. You have $31.50. Write and solve an inequality to find the greatest number of loads

of laundry you can do. A. 5.25w ≤ 31.5; w ≤ 26.25 B. w ≤ 31.5 − 5.25; w ≤ 26.25 C. 5.25w ≤ 31.5; w ≤ 6 D. 5.25 + w ≤ 31.5; w ≤ 6

Charges per load = $5.25

Total money = $31.50

As the situation says that charges are 5.25 and one has a total money of 31.50 so lets suppose the total load one has be 'w'

so equation becomes:

5.25w\leq31.50

solving it we get, w\leq6

So, option C is the correct answer.

There is an alien machine which produces seven aliens every two seconds. At this rate how many aliens will produces in one hour?
lyudmila [28]
Well, there are 60 minutes in 1 hour, and there are 60 seconds in 1 minute, so in 60 minutes, there are 60 * 60 seconds, or 3600 seconds in 60 minutes, or 1 hour, therefore, in 1 hour there are 3600 seconds.

the machine makes 7 aliens in 2 seconds, how many will it make in 3600 seconds?

\bf \begin{array}{ccll}
aliens&seconds\\
\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\
7&2\\
a&3600
\end{array}\implies \cfrac{7}{a}=\cfrac{2}{3600}\implies \cfrac{7\cdot 3600}{2}=a

that many.

Alladin's Amusement Park has a popular roller coaster ride. There are 2 trains. Each train has 7 cars. Each car holds 16 people.
Nataly [62]

Answer:

224

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of trains in the roller coaster = 2

Number cars in each train = 7

Total number of cars = Number of trains \times Number of cars in each train = 7\times 2 = 14

Number of people in each car = 16

Total number of people in 14 cars = Number of people in one car \times Number of cars = 16 \times 14 = 224

i.e.

Total number of people in the roller coaster in one run = 224

Number of runs made by each train in one hour = 10

Therefore, Total number of people that can ride the roller coaster in one hour can be found by multiplying the number of runs with total number of people in the roller coaster in one run.

224 \times 10 = <em>2240</em>
