I worked out this on paper, then missed a few steps & looked it up :)

The equation looks like this

2<em>b</em> + <em>b = </em>750

This simplifies to

3<em>b</em> = 750

Divide

3<em>b</em>/3 = b

750/3 = 250

So, the cost of the bench is $250.
