<span>The name that applies to all of the numbers given in the question is ‘real numbers’. Real numbers can be both rational — like the fraction -7/8 and the square root of 18/2 — and irrational numbers — like the square roots of 0.15 and 45.</span>

Answer:

x = 2.5 inches. Or

x = 5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Length: 7 + 2x

Width: 5 + 2x

Note that you have to add x at each end of the picture and onto each part of the width.

The entire area is 120 square inches.

Formula

L*W = Area

(2x + 7)(2x + 5) = 120

Solution

4x^2 + 10x + 14x + 35 = 120                Subtract 120 from both sides. Add xs

4x^2 + 24x + 35 - 120 = 0

4x^2 + 24x - 85 = 0                             Factor

(2x + 17)(2x - 5)

2x + 17 has no meaning. It will give -  8.5 which is not possible.

2x - 5 =0

2x = 5                                                  Divide by 2

x = 5/2

x = 2.5

Note: I don't know which one the computer is looking for.

sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

c<5, and  c>-4.

<u>Steps used for answers:</u>

5c+3<28 =

1. Subtract 3 from both sides.

5c<28-3

2. Simplify  28-3 to  25.

5c<25

3. Divide both sides by 5.

c<25/5

4. Simplify  25/5 to 5.

c<5

-----------------------

-4c-2<14 =

1. Add 2 to both sides.

-4c<14+2

2. Simplify  14+2 to 16.

-4c<16

3. Divide both sides by -4.

c>-16/4

4. Simplify 16/4 to 4.

c>−4

Sin(60-theta)sin(60+theta)
ehidna [41]

Step-by-step explanation:

\sin(60 -  \theta)  \sin(60 +  \theta)  \\  =  \{ \sin(60)  \cos( \theta)  -  \sin( \theta)   \cos(60)  \} \{ \sin(60)  \cos( \theta)  +  \cos(60)  \sin( \theta)  \} \\  =  \{ \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  \cos( \theta)  -  \frac{1}{2}  \sin( \theta)  \} \{ \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  \cos( \theta)  +  \frac{1}{2}  \sin( \theta)  \} \\  \\

from difference of two squares:

{ \boxed{(a - b)(a + b) = ( {a}^{2} -  {b}^{2} ) }}

therefore:

=  \{ {( \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}) }^{2}  { \cos }^{2}  \theta \} -  \{ {( \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2} )}^{2}  { \sin }^{2}  \theta \} \\  \\  =  \frac{3}{4}  { \cos }^{2}  \theta -  \frac{3}{4}  { \sin}^{2}  \theta

factorise out ¾ :

=  \frac{3}{4} ( { \cos }^{2}  \theta  -  { \sin}^{2}   \theta) \\  \\  = { \boxed{ \frac{3}{4}  \cos(2 \theta) }}

PLZ HELP MARKIN BRAINIEST!!!

From the graph, when x = 1, y = 57,000.

Replace x with 1 in the equations and see if any of the Y 's equal 57,000 :

y = -2610.82(1) + 47860.82 = 45,250

y = 219(1)^2 - 6,506.78(1) + 59,385 = 219 - 6506.78 + 59385 = 53,097.22

y = 54041.5(0.9)^1 =  48,637.35

y = 10,504.6 (1.1)^1 = 11,555.06

The second equation is the closest. so try another x value to see if it is close to the Y value:

Let's try x = 14:

y = 219(14)^2 - 6506.78(14) + 59,385 = 42924 - 91094.92 + 59385 = 11,214.08

This is close to Y = 12,00 shown on the graph

SO the closest equitation is y = 219x^2 - 6506.78x + 59385
