When an individual is administering a dantrolene or dantrium drug in response to multiple sclerosis, the nurse should tell the patient about the possible side effect of this drug. This drug can cause dizziness, tiredness, and drowsiness in the patient.

This dantrolene also referred to as dantrium, which is a drug used in muscle cramping and tightness. These symptoms can develop in nerve disorders. This drug mainly helps in relaxing the muscle, reduce stiffness and muscle pain. The nurse should inform the patient of the possible side effect of the new drug administrated to her. The main side effects of dantrium are:

  • Stomach pain

Dantrolene is known for its end-effect as muscle relaxer. She must inform the patient that the new drug can cause certain repercussions to the muscles like weakness associated with reduction of muscle contraction.  However, in high dosages, the drug can result to hepatoxicity.
