∠ABX is an inscribed angle.
The measure of an inscribed angle is half the measure of the intercepted arc ⇒
arc AX = 2*∠ABX = 2 * 64 = 128°

The angle formed by the intersection of tangent and secant outside the circle equals half the difference of the <span>intercepted arcs </span>⇒
∠ACB = (arc AB - arc AX)/2 = (152 - 128)/2 = 24/2 = 12°

Russ walks 710 mile to school. How far has he walked when he has covered 58 of the distance to school?\
zloy xaker [14]

Answer: \frac{7}{16}

Step-by-step explanation: Distance to school = \frac{7}{10} mile

Distance covered = \frac{5}{8} of \frac{7}{10}

                      = \frac{5}{8} x \frac{7}{10}

                       = \frac{35}{80}

                      = \frac{7}{16}

Explain why every positive number has two square roots
sasho [114]
Let's explain this by using an example. Let's take the square root of 4.
sqrt(4)
You'd think the answer is 2, and you are correct, but the answer is also -2.
Remember that a square root means that the two numbers must be the same, and multiply back up to 4. In this case, the number is 2.
2•2=4
BUT
-2•-2 ALSO =4
therefore there are two square roots...
2 is a square root
AND
-2 is a square root.
This goes with all positive numbers!

I hope this helps! Best wishes :)
