(i) All metals are electrical conductors. True

(ii) All ceramics are electrical insulators. True

(iii) All polymers are electrical insulators. False

(iv) For regular ceramic materials, yield strength and ultimate tensile strength are the same. False

(v) Crystal systems are defined by the shape of the lattice and the atom positions. True

Explanation:

(1) Generally, all metals exhibits good conductance of heat as well as electricity. They exhibit this property due to the valence mobile electrons in their outermost shell. Due to their mobile nature, they conduct heat as well as electricity.

(ii) In general, ceramics is a good insulator. Most of the ceramic material resists the flow of heat or electricity and thus finds extensive application in high voltage equipment.

(iii) Polymers exhibit hybrid property. By hybrid, I mean to say they display the property of insulator, semiconductors as well as conductors in some cases. Since the composition of polymers depend on the constituting ingredients hence if the parent material is good conductors, polymers can act as conductors.

(iv) Yield strength can be referred to as the critical strength from where the body exhibits a plastic state of deformation. Yield strength is thus the ultimate strength beyond which any element breaks. Hence for ceramics yield strength is always more than the tensile strength

(v) Crystal system refers to a description of the arrangement of ion, an atom in a structural lattice. The atom's placement in a crystal and the shape of lattice influence the crystal system.

( 12 17 18 19 25 )

Explanation:

First Pass:

( 19 18 25 17 12 ) –> ( 18 19 25 17 12 ), Here, algorithm compares the first two elements, and swaps since 19 > 18.

( 18 19 25 17 12 ) –> ( 18 19 25 17 12 ), Now, since these elements are already in order (25 > 19), algorithm does not swap them.

( 18 19 25 17 12 ) –> ( 18 19 17 25 12 ), Swap since 25 > 17

( 18 19 17 25 12 ) –> ( 18 19 17 12 25 ), Swap since 25 > 12

Second Pass:

( 18 19 17 12 25 ) –> ( 18 19 17 12 25 )

( 18 19 17 12 25 ) –> ( 18 17 19 12 25 ), Swap since 19 > 17

( 18 17 19 12 25 ) –> ( 18 17 12 19 25 ), Swap since 19 > 12

( 18 17 12 19 25 ) –> ( 18 17 12 19 25 )

Third Pass:

( 18 17 12 19 25 ) –> ( 17 18 12 19 25 ), Swap since 18 > 17

( 17 18 12 19 25 ) –> ( 17 12 18 19 25 ), Swap since 18 > 12

( 17 12 18 19 25 ) –> ( 17 12 18 19 25 )

( 17 12 18 19 25 ) –> ( 17 12 18 19 25 )

Fourth Pass:

( 17 12 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 ), Swap since 17 > 12

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 ), Swap since 18 > 12

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

Now, the array is already sorted, but our algorithm does not know if it is completed. The algorithm needs one whole pass without any swap to know it is sorted.

Fifth Pass:

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

( 12 17 18 19 25 ) –> ( 12 17 18 19 25 )

guapka [62]

Answer:

a. Composition of Vector.

Explanation:

When a bird flies in the air, it stretches its wings into air and this movement helps it move in a certain direction. This is an example of composition of vector. Air strikes the wings in opposite direction and bird wing movement helps it move against the wind.
