Describe how the role of phloem would would be affected if the leaves start to die off
Naya [18.7K]
The conductive tissues of the angiosperms are the xylem which drives the raw sap and the phloem which conducts the elaborate sap.The phloem, or liber, drives the elaborate sap, solution of organic substances rich in carbohydrates, from the leaves to the other organs.

The elaborate sap (which contains organic substances produces by photosynthesis) is produced in the leaves, where the majority of the chlorophyll subsist, so if the leave die off, the production of organic substances and the elaborate sap are reduced, so its transport by the phloem will be reduced, and this is how the phloem will be affected by the dying of the leaves.

What accounts for the movement of water up the veins of a tall tree?
stiv31 [10]
First of all, the cohesive and adhesive properties of the water molecules fascilitate this. Water molecules stick together and with the walls of the vessels, creating a column of water which doesn t break easily. Moreover the xylem vessels of the tree are very narrow increasing the pressure. Finally, transpiration is taking place as water from the leaves evaporate, thus a continuous osmotic gradient is being created, causing water to be drawn up the tree

In southern Arizona, in the Chiricahue Mountains, there are species of toads that live aciya
inysia [295]

Answer:

Geographic isolation

Explanation:

Geographic isolation can be described as a term that describes the model of speciation in which a biological population becomes isolated from other members of the population and can no longer have gene flow with them.

The same scenario of gene isolation is occurring in the species of taods which live at the top of the mountains in southern Arizona. This population has become reproductively isolated fro all other species of toads within the mountain range.
