Chemistry

Answer is: electronegativity decreases with increase of atomic radius, because of increased distance between the valence electrons and nucleus, so atoms tends to lose electrons easier.

Electronegativity<span> is a chemical property that describes the tendency of an atom to attract a shared pair of electrons towards itself.</span>

The atomic radius of a chemical element is a measure of the size of its atom.The atomic radius varies with increasing atomic number, but usually increases because of increasing of number of electrons.The atomic radius decreases across the periods because an increasing number of protons, because greater attraction between the protons and electrons.

The image below shows two nitrogen atoms. For these two atoms to form a stable molecule, N2, how many electrons would have to be
maxonik [38]
There are six electrons in the covalent bonds.

Two N atoms would be :N:· + ·:N:
An N₂ molecule would be :N:::N: or :N≡N:
This gives each N atom an octet of eight electrons in its valence shell.

Which equation represents the oxidation half-reaction for this redox reaction? Ca + Al(NO3)3 → Al + Ca(NO3)2
vodomira [7]
The oxidation half reaction of the reaction given above would be: Ca → Ca + 2e−. Oxidation is the loss of electrons of an element while its counterpart is called the reduction which gains the electrons that has been lost. Hope this answers the question.

faust18 [17]

Answer:

La velocidad inicial es 55 \frac{m}{s}y su aceleración es -10 \frac{m}{s^{2} }

Explanation:

x=x0+v0*t+\frac{1}{2} *a*t^{2}

  • x= 90 m
  • x0= 0 m
  • v0= ?
  • t= 2
  • a= ?

Reemplazando obtenes:

90=v0*2+\frac{1}{2} *a*2^{2}

90=v0*2+\frac{1}{2} *a*4

90=v0*2+2*a

Y por otro lado tenes:

  • x= 120 m
  • x0= 0
  • v0= ?
  • t= 3
  • a= ?

Reemplazando obtenes:

120=v0*3+\frac{1}{2} *a*3^{2}

120=v0*3+\frac{1}{2} *a*9

120=v0*3+\frac{9}{2} *a

\left \{ {{2*v0+2*a=90} \atop {3*v0+\frac{9}{2} *a=120}} \right.

v0= \frac{90-2*a}{2}

Reemplazando en la segunda ecuación:

120=\frac{90-2*a}{2} *3+\frac{9}{2} *a

Resolviendo:

120=(90-2*a)*\frac{3}{2} +\frac{9}{2} *a

120=135-3*a +\frac{9}{2} *a

120-135=-3*a +\frac{9}{2} *a

-15=\frac{3}{2} *a

\frac{-15}{\frac{3}{2} } =a

-10=a

v0= \frac{90-2*(-10)}{2}

Resolviendo:

v0= \frac{90+20}{2}

v0= \frac{110}{2}

v0=55
