Let's recall that I = Prt

so... hmm we're assuming here, it doesn't say there, but this is for 1 year period.

ok... so... let's use two quantities for such interest, say "a" is the Interest for the Principal of 6000, and let's use "b" is the Interest for the Principal of 13000.

\bf \qquad \textit{Simple Interest Earned}\\\\
I = Prt\qquad
\begin{cases}
I=\textit{interest earned}\\
P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to& \$6000\\
r=rate\to r\%\to& \frac{r}{100}\\
t=years\to &1
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
a=6000\left( \frac{r}{100} \right)1\implies \stackrel{\textit{P=6000}}{a=60r}\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\

\bf \qquad \textit{Simple Interest Earned}\\\\
I = Prt\qquad
\begin{cases}
I=\textit{interest earned}\\
P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to& \$13000\\
r=rate\to (r-1)\%\to &\frac{r-1}{100}\\
t=years\to &1
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
b=13000\left( \frac{r-1}{100} \right)1\implies \stackrel{\textit{P=13000}}{b=130(r-1)}

now, we know that, whatever the interest amount of "a" is, is 220 less than whatever "b" is.

we know what "b" is, b = 130(r-1), and 220 less than that is just b - 220, or 130(r-1) - 220.

\bf a=60r\qquad \boxed{a=130(r-1) - 220}\implies 130(r-1)-220=60r
\\\\\\
130r-130-220=60r\implies 70r=350\implies r=\cfrac{350}{70}\implies r=5

zysi [14]
A triangle with a base of 2 and a height of 3.

Double the base and it becomes 4, and double the height and it becomes 6.

Area of the new figure = 1/2 * base * height = 1/2 * 4 * 6 = 2 * 6 = 12

The area of a towelette with double the base and double the height is 12 inches^2.

Use a number line to explain why --15 ÷ 3 =-15
Diano4ka-milaya [45]
It's equal to -15 because you are dividing by an negative and if it's only 1 negative number in your equation then your answer will be a negative and if it's 2 negatives then it would be a positive answer

6 &lt; 3x + 9 ≤ 18<br><br><br> please help me I will mark brainiest answer thanks
Olin [163]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

6< 3x + 9

-3x < 9-6

-3x < 3 .( -1 )

3x > 3

x > 3/3

x > 3

3x + 9 ≤ 18

3x ≤ 18-9

3x ≤ 9

x ≤ 9/3

x ≤  3

S = {XeIR/ 3 > x  ≤ 3 }

Mrs.sorestam bought one ruler for 0.49$ one compass for 1.49$ and one mechanical pencil 0.49 at the price shown in the table for
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

12(x−2.57)=0.36

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the initial amount of money Mrs. Sorenstam had to spend on each student.

The cost of the 3 items is:

1.49+0.59+0.49=2.57

The change left for each student will be:

x−2.57

For 12 students, the change left will be

12(x−2.57) which equals 36 cents, according to the problem

So, the equation to represent this situation will be:

12(x−2.57)=0.36
