Let's recall that I = Prt

so... hmm we're assuming here, it doesn't say there, but this is for 1 year period.

ok... so... let's use two quantities for such interest, say "a" is the Interest for the Principal of 6000, and let's use "b" is the Interest for the Principal of 13000.

\bf \qquad \textit{Simple Interest Earned}\\\\
I = Prt\qquad
\begin{cases}
I=\textit{interest earned}\\
P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to& \$6000\\
r=rate\to r\%\to& \frac{r}{100}\\
t=years\to &1
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
a=6000\left( \frac{r}{100} \right)1\implies \stackrel{\textit{P=6000}}{a=60r}\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\

\bf \qquad \textit{Simple Interest Earned}\\\\
I = Prt\qquad
\begin{cases}
I=\textit{interest earned}\\
P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to& \$13000\\
r=rate\to (r-1)\%\to &\frac{r-1}{100}\\
t=years\to &1
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
b=13000\left( \frac{r-1}{100} \right)1\implies \stackrel{\textit{P=13000}}{b=130(r-1)}

now, we know that, whatever the interest amount of "a" is, is 220 less than whatever "b" is.

we know what "b" is, b = 130(r-1), and 220 less than that is just b - 220, or 130(r-1) - 220.

\bf a=60r\qquad \boxed{a=130(r-1) - 220}\implies 130(r-1)-220=60r
\\\\\\
130r-130-220=60r\implies 70r=350\implies r=\cfrac{350}{70}\implies r=5

7-2(2+3x)=27what is he answer
Taya2010 [7]
<span>Simplifying 7 + -2(2 + 3x) = 27 7 + (2 * -2 + 3x * -2) = 27 7 + (-4 + -6x) = 27 Combine like terms: 7 + -4 = 3 3 + -6x = 27 Solving 3 + -6x = 27 Solving for variable 'x'. Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right. Add '-3' to each side of the equation. 3 + -3 + -6x = 27 + -3 Combine like terms: 3 + -3 = 0 0 + -6x = 27 + -3 -6x = 27 + -3 Combine like terms: 27 + -3 = 24 -6x = 24 Divide each side by '-6'. x = -4 Simplifying x = -4</span>

Give the values of a, b, and c needed to write the equation's general form. 2/3(x - 4)(x + 5) = 1
ale4655 [162]

The first step is to write this equation into general form. The general form of an equation is:

ax^2 + bx + c = 0

To make this equation to general form, you have to simplify the equation first.

2/3(x-4) (x+5) = 1

2/3 (x^2 + 5x – 4x – 20) = 1

2/3(x^2 + x -20) = 1

2/3x^2 + 2/3x – 40/3 = 1

2/3x^2 + 2/3x – 40/3 – 1 = 0

2/3x^2 +2/3x – 43/3 = 0

Therefore, a = 2/3 ; b = 2/3 ; c = -43/3

Consumer Reports will have an article comparing refrigerators in the next issue. Some of the characteristics to be included in t
kap26 [50]

Answer:

brand name and model - - > CATEGORICAL

whether it has a top freezer, bottom freezer, or side-by-side LAYOUT - - > CATEGORICAL

the estimated energy consumption per year (kilowatts); - - - > QUANTITATIVE

whether or not it is Energy Star COMPLIANT - - > CAREGORICAL

the width, depth, and height in INCHES - - - > QUANTITATIVE

both the freezer and refrigerator net capacity, in cubic FEET - - - > QUANTITATIVE

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following refrigerator characteristics :

brand name and model - - > CATEGORICAL

whether it has a top freezer, bottom freezer, or side-by-side LAYOUT - - > CATEGORICAL

the estimated energy consumption per year (kilowatts); - - - > QUANTITATIVE

whether or not it is Energy Star COMPLIANT - - > CAREGORICAL

the width, depth, and height in INCHES - - - > QUANTITATIVE

both the freezer and refrigerator net capacity, in cubic FEET - - - > QUANTITATIVE

To start with ; Categorical and quantitative variables differ most notably in the fact that, quantitative variables deals with numbers, measurements or calculated mathematical values of certain attribute in a measured species or sample. Categorical variable on the other hand mostly deals with making distinctions in properties of a sample by grouping the varibale into the different available categories based on their attributes.
