Viruses are able to infect cells because they share a common <u>genetic</u> code and they use host cell machinery to carry out protein synthesis. Virus infecting a bacteria is called bacteriophage. These bacteriphages can use two different pathways to infect the virus: a) lytiic b) lysogenic. In lytic cycle the virus makes several copies of itself within bacteria and at the end bacterial cell is lysed. In lysogenic cycle virus integrates its DNA into bacterial  genome.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) block the actions of the COX enzymes and their production of eicosanoids from ___
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

Arachidonic acids

Explanation:

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are drugs used due to their analgesic, anti-inflammatory effects.

It inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme that takes part in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins (PGs) and thromboxane (TX) and the production of eicosanoids.

Eicosanoids are made by the enzymatic or non-enzymatic oxidation of arachidonic acid or from other polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) that are close to arachidonic acid which are 20 carbon units in length.

They are important cell signaling molecules that inhibit inflammation, allergy, fever, regulate abortion of pregnancy and normal childbirth, regulating cell growth.

How does leaf structure best represent the relationship between structure and function? It indicates the maximum height an organ
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

The correct answer is - *It relates directly to the characteristics of the plant's environment*

Explanation:

The relationship between structure and function can be represented by the leaf structure as the structure of a particular plant leaf gives an idea about the characteristics of the environment it is habituated.

In the dry area or deserted area, leaves are modified into spikes to save water in order to lower transpiration, number of waxy coating, number of chlorophyll, and other modifications that give an idea about the environment and light intensity, and other characteristics.
