We know that AD is the shortest way but ABCD is connected in series
Equivalent Resistance =R1+R2+R3
=(10+10+10)ohm
=30ohm
Since BC and AD is connected in parallel
1/Req=1/R1 + 1/R2
=1/30 + 1/10
=3+1/30
=4/30
So, Req=30/4 ohm

Now,Current drawn from the battery
=> I = V/R
=> I = 30/4 ohm/3v
=> I = 30/4*3
So, I = 10/4 A

True or False: Graphs provide a good visual representation of the relationships between the factors investigated in an experimen
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

  • Yes, the graph provides a good visual representation of the relationship between the factors being investigated when there are only two variables being studied at a time.
  • Sometimes a third variable is represented on a negative y-axis which plays a minor role in any one of the factors that may be conveniently represented.
  • Since we can draw only 2-dimensional diagrams on a paper, therefore, graphs are restricted to a couple of variables.
  • The independent variable is usually represented on the x-axis and the dependent variable is represented on the y-axis.
  • Graphs tell us the pattern of variation of a quantity with respect to another.

Roger the turtle moved 450 m in 2 hours the first day and the next day he moved in a straight line at a steady speed of 15 cm/s
Sonja [21]

Answer:

a). Roger travel total a distance of 2070m

b). The average speed of the whole tip V_{p}0.16025\frac{m}{s}

Explanation:

V= \frac{x}{t} = \frac{450m}{2 hr} * \frac{1 hr}{3600 s}  = \frac{450m}{7200 s}\\ V= \frac{450m}{7200s} =0.125 \\V= 0.0625 \frac{m}{s} \\

a).

First trip 450m

Second trip :

V=\frac{x}{t} \\x=V*t \\x= 15 \frac{cm}{s} *3 hr\\x= 15 (\frac{cm}{s}*\frac{1m}{100 cm}) * 3 hr (\frac{3600s}{1hr})\\  x=0.15 \frac{m}{s}  * 3600s\\x= 1620 m

So final distance is

450m+1620m=2070m

b).

V_{p} = \frac{0.15 \frac{m}{s}+0.0625 \frac{m}{s} }{2} =0.10625 \frac{m}{s}

The average speed is V_{p}0.10625 \frac{m}{s}

Suppose that she pushes on the sphere tangent to its surface with a steady force of F = 60 N and that the pressured water provid
sergey [27]

Answer:

25.06s

Explanation:

Remaining part of the question.

(A large stone sphere has a mass of 8200 kg and a radius of 90 cm and floats with nearly zero friction on a thin layer of pressurized water.)

Solution:

F = 60N

r = 90cm = 0.9m

M = 8200kg

Moment of inertia for a sphere (I) = ⅖mr²

I = ⅖ * m * r²

I = ⅖ * 8200 * (0.9)²

I = 0.4 * 8200 * 0.81

I = 2656.8 kgm²

Torque (T) = Iα

but T = Fr

Equating both equations,

Iα = Fr

α = Fr / I

α = (60 * 0.9) / 2656.8

α = 0.020rad/s²

The time it will take her to rotate the sphere,

Θ = w₀t + ½αt²

Angular displacement for one revolution is 2Π rads..

θ = 2π rads

2π = 0 + ½ * 0.02 * t²

(w₀ is equal to zero since sphere is at rest)

2π = ½ * 0.02 * t²

6.284 = 0.01 t²

t² =6.284 / 0.01

t² = 628.4

t = √(628.4)

t = 25.06s
