Oh my gosh I used to have that same workbook I HATED it. Anyways, the formular for volume is length x width x height, so for this rectangular prism you would multiply 4 2/5 x 10 x 3. Also it doesn’t matter which order you multiply because you should still have the same end result.

Hope this helps! If you need anymore answers from this book then ask me. My teacher made us do like 10 pages a day all school year.

Solve for x. 3x8 23 Choose 1 answer: B E x < OR 31 3 x < 5 31 5 ≤ x ≤- 3o| - 4x +266 - There are no solutions All values o
jasenka [17]

The solution of the inequality 3x - 8 <= 23 or -4x + 26 >= 6 is x <= 31/3

<h3>How to solve for x?</h3>

The inequality is given as:

3x - 8 <= 23 or -4x + 26 >= 6

Evaluate the like terms

3x <= 31 or -4x>= -20

Make x the subjects

x <= 31/3 or x <= 5

x <= 31/3 has a wider domain that x <= 5

Hence, the solution of the inequality 3x - 8 <= 23 or -4x + 26 >= 6 is x <= 31/3

The shortest side of a right triangle measures 7 m. the lengths of the other two sides are consecutive integers - the hypotenus
Romashka [77]

If the lengths of the other two sides are consecutive integers, then the second leg is n and the hypotenuse is n+1. By the Pythagorean theorem:

(\text{hypotenuse})^2=(\text{leg}_1)^2+(\text{leg}_2)^2,\\ (n+1)^2=n^2+7^2,\\ n^2+2n+1=n^2+49,\\ 2n+1=49,\\ 2n=48,\\ n=24

and

n+1=25.

Answer: the unknown sides have lengths 24 and 25.

Nostrana [21]

Step-by-step explanation:

Total amount of lettuce = x pounds

Mrs. Tirado picked 5/6 pounds of lettuce from her garden.

5 / 6 * Total amount = 5/6 x

Mrs. Rampulla picked 2/3 less pounds than Mrs. Tirado.

Mrs. Rampulla = 2/3 (Mrs. Tirado) = 2/3 (5/6 x)

Mrs. Rampulla = 5/9 x

How much lettuce did they pick altogether?

Mrs. Rampulla + Mrs. Tirado

5/9 x  + 5/6 x

(25/18) x pounds
