13 boys were divided into two groups. You can't split two boys in half such as 6 1/2, so you leave the one boy out and he waits as a substitute. Or you could say: 13 boys are divided into two teams. You can't split two boys in half to have 6 1/2 on each team, so there would be 6 boys on one team and 7 on the other. Hope this helped!

Solve each equation for 0 x 360 sqrt 2 cosx+1=0 please hurry
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

120\º \text{ and } 240\º

or in radians:

$\frac{2\pi }{3} \text{ and } \frac{4\pi }{3}$

Step-by-step explanation:

From the way you wrote, you want to solve the equation

\sqrt {2 \cos(x)+1}=0 for 0 \leq  x < 360\º, or in radians [0, 2\pi)

\sqrt {2 \cos(x)+1}=0

<u>Square both sides</u>

2 \cos(x) +1= 0

2\cos(x)=-1

$\cos(x)=-\frac{1}{2} $

In the Unit Circle, considering one revolution (interval [0, 2\pi)),

the values where $\cos(x)=-\frac{1}{2} $  are in Quadrant II and III.

Once

$\cos(x)= \frac{1}{2} \text{ for } x = 60\º \text{ in the Quadrant I}$

The values where

$\cos(x)=-\frac{1}{2} $   are 120º and 240º.

Allie created a garden in the shape a right triangle. Which set of measurements could represent the lengths of the sides of her
hammer [34]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

{c}=   \sqrt{ {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} }

c =  \sqrt{ {6}^{2} +  {8}^{2}  }

c =  \sqrt{36 + 64}

c =  \sqrt{100 }

c = 10

Marcus is wanting to prove that parallelogram ABCD is a square. He shows that opposite sides are congruent and opposite sides ar
faust18 [17]

Answer:

It cannot be concluded that ABCD is square.

Step-by-step explanation:

parallelogram is a quadrilateral whose opposite side are parallel

it may or may not have angles right angled.

For a quadrilateral to be square following condition should be satisfied

1: opposite side parallel

2: all side congruent

3: All angles right angle.

given

Marcus shows that opposite sides are congruent and opposite sides are parallel.

He says that opposite sides are congruent but no information is given about adjacent side. Adjacent side should also be congruent

Also , criteria of right angle is not also mentioned which is mandatory to prove shape of square.

Based on above information,

ABCD can also be

Rectangle and Rhombus, as both also  have  opposite sides  congruent and opposite sides  parallel.

Hence, it cannot be concluded that ABCD is square.

Where does the graph of y= sin x from x = 0 to x = 2n1 start?
stepladder [879]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

when x=0,sin x=0

when x=30° or π/6

sinx=1/2=0.5

when x=45° or π/4

sin x=√2/2≈1.414/2≈0.707

when x=60° or π/3

sinx=√3/2≈1.732/2≈0.866

when x=90° or π/2

sin x=1

when x=120° 2π/3

sin 120=sin (180-60)=sin 60 ≈0.866

when x=135° or 3π/4

sin 135=sin (180-45)=sin 45≈0.707

when x=150° or 5π/6

sin 150=sin (180-30)=sin 30=0.5

when x=180 or π

sin 180=sin(180-0)=sin 0=0

when x=210° or 7π/6

sin 210=sin (180+30)=-sin 30=-0.5

when x=225° or 5π/4

sin x=sin (180+45)=-sin 45≈-0.707

when x=240° or 4π/3

sin 240=sin (180+60)=-sin 60≈ -0.866

when x=270° or 3π/2

sin 270=sin (180+90)=-sin 90=-1

when x=300° or  5π/3

sin 300=sin(360-60)=-sin 60≈ -0.866

when x=315°or 7π/4

sin 315=sin (360-45)= -sin 45≈ -0.707

when x=330° or 13π/6

sin 330=sin (360-30)= -sin 30 =-0.5

when x=360 or 2π

sin (360)=sin (360+0)=sin 0=0

plot all these points on the graph,you get the reqd. graph.

you see it starts on (0,0)
