I am very sorry to say that unless you provide your curriculum name, there's not much help anyone can give you.
Also, if you were to calculate the chance of you jumping from an F to a D right away just from a semester exam, I am afraid you are mistaken.

Find the equation of the line that passes through (3,1) and is parallel to y=2x+1.
creativ13 [48]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  y = 2x -5

Step-by-step explanation:

The parallel line will differ only in the value of c. That can be found using the given point.

  y = mx +c

  c = y -mx . . . . . . subtract mx to solve for c

  c = 1 -2·3 = -5 . . . . . . the value of m is 2 in the given equation (x, y) = (3, 1)

The equation of the parallel line is ...

  y = 2x -5

Round 1.0649 to the nearest thousandth
ira [324]
1.0649 to the nearest thousandths is 1.065

You could get this by finding where the thousandths place is, which is the third number.
Now, look at the number to the right.
If it's 5 or higher, round up.
If it's 4 or lower, round down.

Since it is 9, we round up.
The 4 turns into a 5.

So, 1.065

Hope I helped!

The Eiffel Tower is 324 m tall. If a tourist is looking at it from 100 m away from the base,
romanna [79]

Answer:

80,94º

Step-by-step explanation:

What I've done is, first draw a triangle with a 90º angle and write down the height (324m) and the tourist's distance (100m).

So I calculated the tangent of the angle of the tourist.

The formula is tan=Oposite side/adjacent

tan=\frac{opposite side}{adjacent}

tan=\frac{324}{100} =3.24

And now with your calculator you press "shift" and "tan". Then introduce 3,24 and it will give you the result (80,94º).

I hope it helped.

It is given that in △ABC, AD ⊥ BC. Using the definition of sine with angle C in △ACD results in sin(C) = . Using the multiplicat
amid [387]

We see here in the diagram that the base is a. We know this because the height is perpendicular to it. We also know the height is bsin(C) which, when replace h for bsin(C) and a for the base, we get A=absin(C), which is the second option.
