Answer:

The apparent change in frequency of sound is explained by the Doppler effect of sound.

The change occurs due to the change in the relative velocity of the observer and source of sound, due to their relative motion.

Explanation:

When an object is stationary and listening to a stationary source of sound, like a factory alarm, the frequency of sound heard by the observer is equal (same) as the frequency given out by the source of sound.

When the observer stays at rest but a car blowing horn approaches him, the frequency of sound heard increases. The apparent frequency is higher than the original sound coming out from the car horn.

If the car is speeding away from the observer, apparent frequency heard by the stationary observer decreases.

Like this, several other conditions can be explained based on the relative motion of observer and source of sound.

When the distance is decreasing, the frequency of the received wave form will be higher than the source wave form.  the sound  changes because, the sound waves  and  their frequency changes as they pass by you as they are moving in the same direction. HOPE THIS HELPED YOU :)

A 78-kg skydiver has a speed of 62 m/s , what is the kinetic energy?
Cloud [144]

Answer:

149,916J

Explanation:

Pneumonic device: Kevin is half-mad and very square

this translates to: KE=(1/2)mv^2 !!

KE=(1/2)(78)(62^2)

KE=(39)(3844)

KE=149,916 Joules

One system consists of two like charges (q1 and q2) separated by a distance r. A second system consists of two charges that are
olganol [36]

fyt as per the question the magnitude of two like charges are given as q1 and q2.the separation distance is given as r unit.hence the potential energy is given as-P.E=+\frac{1}{4\pi\epsilon} \frac{q1*q2}{r^2}

here the potential energy is positive which means the force between  two charges is repulsive.the potential energy is maximum which indirectly denotes that the system is unstable.due to this repulsion the smaller charge may accelerate.

coming to the same charges of opposite nature i.e unlike charges-here the magnitude of charges are same and separation distance is also are,so the potential energy will be given as-P.E=-\frac{1}{4\pi\epsilon}\frac{q1*q2}{r^2}

here the potential  energy is negative .so the system of two charges are attracted by each other.

Two forces P and Q act on an object of mass 11.0 kg with Q being the larger of the two forces. When both forces are directed to
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

The magnitude of force on P is 2.75 N

The magnitude of force on Q is 7.15 N

Solution:

As per the question:

Mass of the object, M = 11.0 kg

Acceleration of the object when the forces are directed leftwards, a = 0.900 m/s^{2}

Acceleration when the forces are in opposite direction, a' = 0.400 m/s^{2}

Now,

The net force on the object in first case is given by:

F_{net} = |\vec{F_{P}}| + |\vec{F_{Q}}| = Ma       (1)

The net force on the object in second case is given by:

F_{net} = |\vec{F_{P}}| - |\vec{F_{Q}}| = Ma'       (2)

Adding both eqn (1) and (2):

2|\vec{F_{Q}}| = M(a + a')

|\vec{F_{Q}}| = \frac{11.0(0.900 + 0.400)}{2} = 7.15 N

Putting the above value in eqn (1):

|\vec{F_{P}}| = 11\times 0.900 - |\vec{F_{Q}}|

|\vec{F_{P}}| = 9.900 - 7.15 = 2.75

An 8.50 m long ladder leans against the side of a building. The ladder is initially inclined at an angle of 47.0° to the horizon
erastova [34]

The angle of the ladder inclined with respect to the horizontal after being moved a distance of 0.82 m closer to the building is 53.84°

cos θ = Adjacent side / Hypotenuse

θ_{1} = 47°

Hypotenuse = Length of ladder = 8.5 m

cos 47° = Adjacent side / 8.5

Adjacent side = Initial distance of base of ladder from the building = 5.8 m

Adjacent side 2 = Final distance of base of ladder from the building

Adjacent side 2 = 5.8 - 0.82 = 4.98 m

cos θ_{2} = Adjacent side 2 / Hypotenuse

cos θ_{2} = 4.98 / 8.5 = 0.59

θ_{2} = cos^{-1} ( 0.59 )

θ_{2} = 53.84°

The formula used above is one of trigonometric ratios. Trigonometric ratios can used only in a right angled triangle where one of the angles in at 90 degrees and the other two angles are less than 90 degrees.

Therefore, the angle of the ladder inclined with respect to the horizontal after being moved is 53.84°
