Answer:

B. 19miles

Explanation:

If Freddy drives 4 miles east to his friend's house. He then travels 9 more miles east to the supermarket. Finally on his way back home he out of gas 6 miles after leaving the supermarket, the distance travel by fred will be the sup of all the distances he covered throughout the journey.

Distance covered by fred = 4miles + 9miles + 6miles

Distance covered by fred = 13miles + 6miles

Distance covered by fred = 19miles

Ancient species found in just one region, whose close relatives have all gone extinct, are designated __________.
Molodets [167]

Ancient species living in earth with all its close relatives dead are called living fossils.

Explanation:

Living fossils are interesting as well important creations of nature. Let's take an example of a plant Ginkgo biloba. Its a plant of gymnosperm family along with pine and fir, but belongs to the order Ginkgoales. In this order, Gingko biloba is the only plant that's alive till now, all the other species are dead.

Living fossils give us important informations about the adaptation that used to prevail in earth that lead to survival of species in contemporary times. It also establishes relationships between the two or more phyla of organisms in a taxonomic way.

Animal living fossils are lungfish, horse shoe crab, coelacanth fish, Tuatara, lobe finned fishes etc.

Answer: 292.95 J

Explanation:

change in internal energy= Heat transfer - work done

ΔU =Q -PΔV

Here, Q = 0 as there is no heat transfer.

P =2.00 atm = 2.00 × 101235 Pa = 202470 Pa

ΔV = final volume - initial volume = 0.8 V -V = -0.2 V

where V is the initial volume.

Volume of a spherical ball, V = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

r = d/2 = 23.9 cm / 2 = 0.12 m

V = \frac{4}{3}\times 3.14 \times (0.12m)^3= 7.23\times10^{-3}m^3

\DeltaU = -P\DeltaV = - 202470 Pa \times -0.2 \times 7.23\times10^{-3}m^3=292.95 J

Hence, internal energy would change by 292.95 J.

A. How does increasing the voltage of a power supply in an electromagnet affect the strength of the magnetic field?
seropon [69]

PART A)

If we increase the voltage supply in an electromagnet then it will increase the current that is flowing in it

So here due to increase in current there will be increase in the magnetic field due to that electromagnet

PART B)

Here in electric generator the current is produced by rotating a coil between two strong magnets.

So here mechanical energy of rotation of coil is converted into electromagnetic energy.

PART C)

Step up transformer convert the lower voltage input into higher voltage output

here number of turns of coil in output side or secondary number of coils is more than the number of coils in primary side or input side

PART D)

Force on a moving charge is given by

F = q(\vec v \times \vec B)

here we know that

q = 0.000600 C

v = 2.8 \times 10^5 m/s

B = 4.21 T

now from above equation we have

F = 0.0006(2.8\times 10^5)(4.21)

F = 707.3 N

direction of force is given by right hand thumb rule

using that rule we got force downwards
