Which statement best completes the sentence below? If the measure of /_4 is 70^o, then the measure of /_8 is _________________.

A 110^o because /_4 and /_8 are supplementary angles. B 70^o because /_4 and /_8 are alternate exterior angles. C 110^o because /_4 and /_8 are corresponding angles. D 70^o because /_4 and /_8 are corresponding angles.

Answer:

As given, measure of angle 4 is 70°

Then what would be the measure of ∠8.

Following cases comes into consideration

1. If ∠4 and ∠8 are supplementary angles i.e lie on same side of Transversal, then

 ∠4 + ∠8=180°

⇒70°+∠8=180°  [∠4=70°]

⇒∠8=180°-70°

⇒∠8=110°

<u>2nd possibility</u>

But if these two angles i.e ∠4 and ∠8 forms a linear pair.Then

⇒ ∠4 + ∠8=180°

⇒70°+∠8=180°  [∠4=70°]

⇒∠8=180°-70°

⇒∠8=110°

<u>3rd possibility</u>

If ∠4 and ∠8 are alternate exterior angles.

then, ∠4 = ∠8=70°

<u>4th possibility</u>

If If ∠4 and ∠8 are corresponding angles.

then, ∠4 = ∠8=70°

Out of four options given Option A[ 110° because ∠4 and ∠8 are supplementary angles], Option B[70° because ∠4 and ∠8 are alternate exterior angles.] and Option D[70° because ∠4 and ∠8 are corresponding angles.] are Correct.

If CD is the perpendicular bisector of AB, then the value of x is:
amm1812
In ΔCAD and ΔCBD,

CD = CD [ Common side ]

AD = BD [ CD is the perpendicular "bisector" of AB ]

∠CDA = ∠CDB [ CD is the "perpendicular" bisector of AB ]

Thus, ΔCAD and ΔCBD are congruent triangles. [ SAS congruency ]

If these triangles are congruent, then AC = BC.

2x = 3x -10

x = 10.

Mashcka [7]

Answer:

Standard Error of the difference = 0.0695

Step-by-step explanation:

Its given that : In a large school district, 16 of 85 randomly selected high school seniors play a varsity sport

\implies P_1=\frac{16}{85}\\\\n_1=85

Also, in the same district, 19 of 67 randomly selected high school juniors play a varsity sport

\implies P_1=\frac{19}{67}\\\\n_2=67

Now, finding the standard error of the difference :

\text{Standard Error = }\sqrt{\frac{P_1(1-P_1)}{n_1}+\frac{P_2(1-P_2)}{n_2}}\\\\\implies \text{Standard Error = }\sqrt{\frac{\frac{16}{85}(1-\frac{16}{85})}{85}+\frac{\frac{19}{67}(1-\frac{19}{67})}{67}}\\\\\implies\text{Standard Error = }0.0695

Hence, Standard Error of the difference = 0.0695

Korolek [52]

<em>Answer</em>

Denmark has the greatest population density

Ghana has the least population density

<em>Step-by-step explanation</em>

To find the population density we have to divide the population of each country by its area, as follows:

\begin{gathered} \text{ Population density of Indonesia }=\frac{203,479,000}{1,904,569}\approx106.8\text{ }\frac{people}{sq\text{ }km} \\ \text{Populat}\imaginaryI\text{on dens}\imaginaryI\text{ty of Denmark}=\frac{5,248,000}{42,077}\approx124.7\text{ }\frac{people}{sq\text{ k}m} \\ \text{Populat}\mathrm{i}\text{on dens}\mathrm{i}\text{ty of Ghana}=\frac{18,339,000}{237,533}\approx77.2\text{ }\frac{people}{sq\text{ k}m} \end{gathered}
