Carbon diselenide (CSe2) is a liquid at room temperature. The normal boiling point is 125°C, and the melting point is –45.5°C. C
Tema [17]

Answer:

Explanation:  The strengths of the inter molecular forces varies as follows -

        CO_{2}< CS_{2} < CSe_{2}

The normal boiling point of CSe2 is 125°C and that of CS2 is 116°C, which explains the trend that as we move down the group, the boiling point of e compound increases as the size increases.

This usually happens because larger and heavier atoms have a tendency to exhibit greater inter molecular strengths due to the increase in size . As the size increases, the valence shell electrons move far away from the nucleus, thus has a greater tendency to attract the temporary dipoles.

And larger the inter molecular forces, more tightly the electrons will be held to each other and thus more thermal energy would be required to break the bonds between them.

If the rate law for a reaction A → P is rate = 3.37x10-3 M^-1 min-1 [A]^2 and the initial concentration of a is 0.122 M, calcula
DedPeter [7]

Rate = 3.37x10-3 M^-1 min-1 [A]^2 and the initial concentration of a is 0.122M.

A rate law indicates the rate of a chemical response depends on reactant concentration. For a response inclusive of the price regulation commonly has the form rate = ok[A]ⁿ, in which okay is a proportionality constant known as the fee regular and n is the order.

The charge of a chemical response is, perhaps, its maximum crucial asset because it dictates whether or not a reaction can arise all throughout an entire life. knowing the charge regulation, an expression concerning the price to the concentrations of reactants can assist a chemist to modify the response conditions to get an extra suitable rate.

half-life is the time taken for the radioactivity of a substance to fall to 1/2 its authentic cost whereas implies existence is the common life of all the nuclei of a particular risky atomic species.

What is the total number of liters of SO3 produced when 32.0 of SO2 reacts completely
ahrayia [7]
Write  the   chemical  equation   for  reaction
that  is
2SO2+O2  --->2SO2

find  the   moles  of  SO2   used  =  moles=mass/molar mass  of  so2

=  32g/80g/mol=0.4 moles

by  use  of  reacting  ratio  between  SO2   and  SO3   which   is   2:2  therefore  the  moles  of  so3  is  also =  0.4  moles

STP  1 mole  =  22.4L.
what  about  0.4moles

= 0.4 /1 x22.4=8.96 liters
