Write  the   chemical  equation   for  reaction
that  is
2SO2+O2  --->2SO2

find  the   moles  of  SO2   used  =  moles=mass/molar mass  of  so2

=  32g/80g/mol=0.4 moles

by  use  of  reacting  ratio  between  SO2   and  SO3   which   is   2:2  therefore  the  moles  of  so3  is  also =  0.4  moles

STP  1 mole  =  22.4L.
what  about  0.4moles

= 0.4 /1 x22.4=8.96 liters

How many grams of sulfur (S8S8) must be dissolved in 100.0 g naphthalene (C10H8C10H8) to make a 0.11 mm solution
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

5.64x10⁻³ g of S₈S₈

Explanation:

We consider mm as milimolal

Milimolal = molal . 1000

Molal are the moles of solute contained in 1kg of solvent.

Solute → Sulfur (S₈S₈)

Solvent → naphthalene

0.11 mm / 1000 = 1.1x10⁻⁴ molal

moles of solute / kg of solvent = 1.1x10⁻⁴ molal

moles of solute / 0.1 kg of solvent = 1.1x10⁻⁴ molal

moles of solute = 1.1x10⁻⁴ m/kg .  0.1kg → 1.1ₓ10⁻⁵ moles

Molar mass S₈S₈ = 512.96 g/m

1.1ₓ10⁻⁵ mol . 512.96 g/m = 5.64x10⁻³ g

how many grams of F2 are needed to react with 3.50 grams of Cl2 Equation needed for question- Cl2+3F2-->2ClF3 please explain
pshichka [43]

Answer:

5.62 g of F2

Explanation:

We have to start with the chemical reaction:

Cl_2~+~3F_2~-->~2ClF_3

<u>We have a balanced reaction</u>, so we can continue with the <u>mol calculation</u>. For this, we need to know the <u>molar mass</u> of Cl_2  (70.906 g/mol), so:

3.5~&#10;g~Cl_2&#10;\frac{1~mol~Cl_2}{70.906~g~Cl_2}=0.049~mol~Cl_2

Now, with the <u>molar ratio</u> between Cl_2  and F_2  we can convert from moles of Cl_2  and F_2  (1:3), so:

0.049~mol~Cl_2\frac{3~mol~F_2}{1~mol~Cl_2}=0.148~mol~F_2

Finally, with the <u>molar mass</u> of F_2 we can calculate the gram of F_2 (37.99 g/mol), so:

0.148~mol~F_2\frac{37.99~g~F_2}{1~mol~F_2}=5.62~g~F_2

I hope it helps!

If you have 1.4 grams of silver (Ag), how many moles of silver do you have?
creativ13 [48]

Answer: There are 0.0129 moles of silver present in 1.4 grams of silver (Ag).

Explanation:

Given: Mass of silver = 1.4 g

Number of moles is the mass of substance divided by its molar mass.

As molar mass of silver is 107.86 g/mol. Therefore, moles of silver are calculated as follows.

No. of moles = \frac{mass}{molar mass}\\= \frac{1.4 g}{107.86 g/mol}\\= 0.0129 mol

Thus, we can conclude that there are 0.0129 moles of silver present in 1.4 grams of silver (Ag).

Two different atoms have four protons each and the same mass. However, one has a positive charge while the other is neutral. Des
seraphim [82]

The possible number and location of all subatomic are one of them is electrically neutral, while the other has a stable electronic configuration.

<h3>What are subatomic particles?</h3>

Subatomic particles are those particles that are present inside the atoms. They are electron, neutron, and proton. They are charged particles, protons are positively charged, electrons are negatively charged and neutrons are neutral.

The protons and electrons totally contribute to the atomic mass of the elements.

Thus, the subatomic particles are electrically neutral and stable to electronic configurations.
