Let
x---------> the larger number
y---------> the smaller number

we know that
x+y=148------> equation 1
x=3y-2------> equation 2

substitute 2 in 1
[3y-2]+y=148--------> 4y=150---------> y=150/4------> y=37.5
x=3y-2----> x=3*37.5-2-----> x=110.5

the answer is
the larger number is 110.5
the smaller number is 37.5

Answer:

D. 31

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the mean of any group of numbers, you simply add up all the numbers and then divide by how many numbers there are.

Using a calculator or a pencil, add the following:

27 + 28 + 30 +28 + 28 + 31 + 29 + 33 + 28 + 28 + 31 + 33 + 41 + 41 + 25

= 461

The last step is to divide 461 by 15:

461/15 = 30.73

Round 30.73 to the nearest whole number and you get D. 31

The slope of BY is -1/5, and BYllJE
What is the slope of JE?

-5
-1/5
1/5
5
Natasha_Volkova [10]
I believe "BY || JE" means that those two lines are congruent, which means the slope of JE would be the same as the slope of BY. So in this case the answer should be B. -1/5.

I hope this helped.
