The reaction of Al(NO3)3 solution with NaOH can be illustrated in the following equation:
Al(NO3)3 (aq) + 3 NaOH (aq) ------> Al(OH)3 (s) + 3 NaNO3 (aq)

The products of the equation are:
NaNO3 which is soluble in water
Al(OH)3 which is insoluble in water
Therefore:
The precipitate is Al(OH)3

Now, for the ionic equation:
The total ionic equation is:
Al^+3(aq) + 3 NO3^-(aq) + 3Na^+(aq) + 3OH^-(aq) ---> Al(OH)3(s) + 3Na^+(aq) + 3 NO3^-(aq)
Therefore, the net ionic equation is:
Al+3 (aq) + 3 OH- (aq) -----> Al(OH)3 (s)

How many moles of oxygen gas are needed to react completely with 17.9 mL Mg, with a density of 1.74 g/mL?
Rom4ik [11]
For the answer to the question above, 17.9 x 1.74 gram Mg = 31.15 gram Mg = (31.15/24.31) = 1.28 mole Mg

2 Mg + O2 ---> 2MgO

so 1.28 mole Mg reacts with 0.641 mole O2

blondinia [14]

Answer:

Not balanced

Explanation:

You have one sulfer and 6 oxygen on the left

You have one sulfer and 3 oxygen on the right

In order to balance it, you would need 2 sulfer and 6 oxygen on each side

The equation for that is:

2S + 3O2 → 2SO3
