If you use BODMAS

Stands for Brackets, Order of(Square root), Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction

If you do this from top to bottom in an equation you will get your answer :)

Step-by-step explanation:

The displacement of a particle d (in km) as a function of time t (in hours) is given by :

d=2t^3+5t^2-3

Displacement at t = 4 hours,

d(4)=2(4)^3+5(4)^2-3=205\ km

Velocity of particle is given by :

v=\dfrac{dd}{dt}\\\\v=\dfrac{d(2t^3+5t^2-3)}{dt}\\\\v=6t^2+10t

Velocity at t = 4 hours,

v=6(4)^2+10(4)=136\ km/h

Acceleration of the particle is given by :

a=\dfrac{dv}{dt}\\\\a=\dfrac{d(6t^2+10t)}{dt}\\\\a=12t+10

At t = 4 hours,

a=12(4)+10=58\ km/h^2

Therefore, the displacement, velocity and acceleration at t = 4 hours is 205 km, 136 km/h and 58 km/h² respectively.

Is the square root of 20 a rational number or irrational number
KIM [24]
A number is rational if it can be written in form a/b where a and b are integers and b is not equal to 0
integers are like -4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4, etc

so
√20=2√5 which is irrational because we can't write it as a fraciton with only integers

also a rational number multilied by an irratinonal number=irrtaional
we know that the square root of any prime number will be irrational and 5 is prime so 2 times √5=rational times irrational=irrational

√20 is irrational

The cost for x number of students to attend an after school sporting event can be represented bu the functon C(x). If C(124) = 5
lara [203]
Alright! Given that C(x) is Cost(Students) = 558, we can eliminate:

2. 558 students paid to attend the event.
5. The event generated $124 from student revenue.

Now, in order to find the cost per student we simply divide 124 on both sides:

\frac{C(124)}{124} =  \frac{558}{124}

124 cancels on the left and 558/124 is 4.5 or $4.50.

Since we just determined the cost of one student, we can eliminate 3.

To check if 124 students paid, we simply add the cost to the equation and check:

4.5(124) = 558

558 = 558 √

It checks out, so we determined that both 1 and 4 are correct.
