\frac{z}{2} + 5 = 11 \ / \ simplify \\ \\  \frac{z}{2} = 11 - 5 \ / \ subtract \ 5 \ from \ each \ side \\ \\  \frac{z}{2} = 6 \ / \ simplify \\ \\ x = 6 \times 2 \ / \ multiply \ each \ side \ by \ 2 \\ \\ z = 12 \ / \ simplify \\ \\

So, your answer to this problem is z = 12.

1/2z + 5 = 11
(1/2z) + 5 = 11
z/2 +5 = 11
z/2 = 11 - 5
z/2 = 6
z = 6 x 2
z = 12

The "parent function" is y = (log to the base 2 of) x

The domain of this function is (0, infinity) (all real numbers greater than zero).

The range of this function is the same as above.

If you replace "x" with "x+1" in the parent function, the associated graph will look the same as that of the given function, EXCEPT that it will be translated by 1 unit to the left.

After this has happened, that "-3" will shift the entire new graph downward by 3 units.

the cubic polynomial f(x) is such that the coefficient of x cube is -1 and the roots of the equation f(x)=0 are 1, 2 & k.Giv

The polynomial function is a cubic polynomial function with a general equation of y = ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d. a is given to be -1. roots make y = 0

when x = 1
y = -1(1) + b + c + d = -1 +b+c+d = 0
when x = 2
y = -1*8 + 4b + 2c + d = -8 + 4b+c+d = 0
when x =k
y = -k^3 + k^2b + kc + d = 0

when x = 3, y =8
8 = -27 + 9b + 3c + d

<span>b=7/3 , c=23/3 , d=−9

What is the x-intercept of the line with this equation −2r+1/2 y=18?
Anon25 [30]
To find the x int, we will sub in 0 for y and solve for x...um...r

- 2r + 1/2y = 18
-2r + 1/2(0) = 18
-2r = 18
r = -18/2
r = -9

so the x int is (-9,0)
