Answer:

Flame test

Explanation:

There are many tests are present to identify the ions. It is very important before going to perform any test you must know all the information bout it.

Flame test:

The metals ions can be detected through the flame test. Different ions gives different colors when heated on flame. Tom perform the flame test following steps should follow:

  1.  Dip a wire loop in the solution of compound which is going to be tested.
  2. After dipping put the loop of wire on bunsen burner flame.
  3. Observe the color of flame.
  4. Record the flame color produce by compound

Colors produce by ions of some metals:

calcium (Ca+2)    orange-red

lithium (Li+)         red

potassium (K+)   Lilac

copper ( Cu+2)    blue-green

sodium (Na+)       yellow

What must be part of a quantitative observation?
KATRIN_1 [288]

A quantitative observation must be a measurement of some sort. (Something including numbers). Qualitative, on the other hand, is when you are using words to describe what has happened.

Explanation:

Quantitative observations are performed with devices such as rulers, balances, measured cylinders, beakers, and regulators. These results are measurable, using one or more senses to gather knowledge. information that doesn't involve numbers or measures. the process of making an understanding based on observations and previous knowledge. Quantitative investigations always involve numbers.

The molecular weight of a gas that has a density of 5.75 g/l at stp is __________ g/mol.
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Answer : The molecular weight of a gas is, 128.9 g/mole

Explanation : Given,

Density of a gas = 5.75 g/L

First we have to calculate the moles of gas.

At STP,

As, 22.4 liter volume of gas present in 1 mole of gas

So, 1 liter volume of gas present in \frac{1}{22.4}=0.0446 mole of gas

Now we have to calculate the molecular weight of a gas.

Formula used :

\text{Moles of gas}=\frac{\text{Mass of a gas}}{\text{Molecular weight of a gas}}

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get the molecular weight of a gas.

0.0446mole=\frac{5.75g}{\text{Molecular weight of a gas}}

\text{Molecular weight of a gas}=128.9g/mole

Therefore, the molecular weight of a gas is, 128.9 g/mole

Which incorrect aspect of Rutherford’s model was fixed by Bohr’s model?
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

Some things that were wrong with Rutherford's model were that the orbiting electrons should give off energy and eventually spiral down into the nucleus, making the atom collapse. Bohr proposed his quantized shell model of the atom to explain how electrons can have stable orbits around the nucleus. To remedy the stability problem, Bohr modified the Rutherford model by requiring that the electrons move in orbits of fixed size and energy.
