PT 1
the circumference of a circle is always pi times the diameter. The diameter is 2 times the radius, because diameter is all the way across the circle, whereas radius is from the center of the circle to the edge. Anyways, if the radius is 6, multiply it by 2 and you get 12, so 3.14 times 12 is 37.68, which is the answer.
PT 2
diameter=9 cm. So, just do 9 times 3.14. (diameter times pi = circumference.)
(2*radius times pi = circumference.)
9 times 3.14 is 28.26

I like to remember the formulas with something called, "Cherry Pies Delicious, Apple Pi(e)s Are Too."

Cherry = Circumference
P = Pi
D = Diameter
A = Area
P = Pi
Are = Radius
Too = 2 = (squared)

So that makes the formulas :
Circumference = \pi × diameter
Area = \pi × radius²

1. And now we're looking for the circumference. For the first once. we have to find the diameter to find the circumference, but only the radius is given. The radius is half of the diameter, so we multiply it by 2 to find the diameter. That makes the diameter 12. We multiply \pi (we're using 3.14) and multiply it with 12, and we get : 37.68 cm

2. We have the diameter this time, so we don't have to find anything. We multiply the diameter (9) with pi (we're using 3.14) and we get : 28.26 cm

Find peremiter of pqr
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

79.2 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Tangents to a circle from an external point are congruent , then

PQ = 27.4

QR = 5.9 + 12.2 = 18.1

PR = 12.2 + (27.4 - 5.9 ) = 12.2 + 21.5 = 33.7

Then

perimeter = PQ + QR + PR = 27.4 + 18.1 + 33.7 = 79.2

PLLEASEEE HELPPP!!! ILL BRAINLIST.
dexar [7]

Answer:

The answer is most likely C.

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the Pythagoras' Theorem, c^2 = a^2 + b^2

I'm not sure if 242 and 262 were 24^2 and 26^2 respectively but I'm using 24^2 and 26^2 for this answer.

The c^2 is in fact x^2 where x is the hypotenuse.

However, the answer could be A if x has to be whole number. In this case, x^2 + 24^2 = 26^2

x^2 = 26^2 - 24^2 = 100

x = sqrt (100) = 10

The snowboarder went off a jump and did a 180. In which direction was the snowboard facing when he landed? How do you know?
dem82 [27]

Answer:

The snowboard was facing the opposite direction from which it started the jump.

Step-by-step explanation:

You may not have learned this yet, but a 360 degree turn makes a complete rotation. Knowing this, 180 is half of 360. This means that the snowboard made a half-way turn. Therefore, it is facing the opposite direction.
