Why is it important to conserve both nonrenewable and renewable resources?

Chemistry

Answer:We need to conserve both these resources in order to ensure that they are available for our use now and for the future generation.

Non renewable resources are limited resources which can completely vanish if we misuse or overuse them.

We need to conserve these resources because they don't replenish sow we rely only on what is available to us now and the future generation will also rely on the same resources, but if we don't conserve them they won't be any non-renewable resources available for the future generation.

Renewable resources can replenish themselves like water however if they are used beyond their capacity to replenish we may face issues of drought and scarcity of water available for our own use. They may replenish but not enough to meet our current needs if we didn't conserve these renewable resources.

It is important to conserve non renewable sources of energy such as coal and oil because they are running out. If we burn all the oil to generate electricity then there will be none left for other useful things we use oil for.

What is the percent by mass of carbon in acetone, c 3 h 6 o?
Tatiana [17]
In the problem, we are tasked to solved for the amount of carbon (C) in the acetone having a molecular formula of C 3 H 6 O. We need to find first the molecular weight if Carbon (C), Hydrogen (H), Oxygen (O).

Molecular Weight:
C=12 g/mol
H=1 g/mol
O=16 g/mol

To calculate for the percent by mass of acetone, we assume 1 mol of acetone.
%C=( \frac{3(12 g/mol)}{3(12 g/mol)+6(1 g/mol)+16 g/mol} ) x 100%
%C=62.07%
Therefore, the percent by mass of carbon in acetone is 62.07%
