Total was x
subtract 36.25 amount of money and you have -14.75 left

You can write this
x - 36.25 = -14.75
add 36.25 to both sides
x = -14.75 + 36.25
Solve by combining like terms
x = 21.5

You had $21.5 on your account before you withdrew $36.25 and had a balance of -$14.75 left.

Hope this helps!

1. The formula for the volume of a cone is
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

r=\sqrt{\frac{3V}{\pi\ h}}

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of cone is given by:

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi\ r^2\ h

where r is the radius of the base and h is the height of the cone.

We need to solve for r

we have V=\frac{1}{3}\ \pi\ r^2\ h

Multiplying both sides by 3 to remove \frac{1}{3}

⇒ 3\times V=3\times \frac{1}{3}\ \pi\ r^2\ h

⇒ 3V=\pi\ r^2\ h

dividing both sides by \pi\ h

⇒ \frac{3V}{\pi\ h}=\frac{\pi r^2 h}{\pi\ h}

⇒ \frac{3V}{\pi\ h}=r^2

Taking square root both sides:

⇒ \sqrt{\frac{3V}{\pi\ h}}=\sqrt{r^2}

⇒ \sqrt{\frac{3V}{\pi\ h}}=r

∴ r=\sqrt{\frac{3V}{\pi\ h}}

Combine like terms 4a2-3b2+ 4b + 10a2
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

14a² - 3b² + 4b

Step-by-step explanation:

Like terms are the terms that have similar stuff on it, like same variables, no variables, and stuff like that.

4a2-3b2+ 4b + 10a2

4a² and 10a² is similar. 4a² + 10a² = 14a²

Now, the equation is 14a² - 3b² + 4b. There is no more like terms left, so that is the answer.

Hope this helps!!

Find the distance between the two points in simplest radical form.<br> (-1,9) and (4, -3)
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

GIVEN BY POINTS :-

( -1, 9) , ( 4 , -3)

Here ,

\bullet  \: \:  x _{1} = - 1 \\ \bullet \: \:  x _{2} = 4 \\ \bullet \: \:   y _{1} = 9 \\ \bullet \: \:    y _{2} =  - 3 \\

Using Distance formula :

=  >  \sf d = \sqrt{( {x _{2} - x _{1}) }^{2} + {( {y _{2} - y _{1}) }^{2} } } \\ \\  =  > \sf  d = \sqrt{ ({ 4  + 1)}^{2} + { ( - 3 - 9)}^{2} } \\  \\ =  >  \sf d = \sqrt{ {5}^{2} + {( - 12)}^{2} }  \\ \\  =  > \sf d = \sqrt{25 + 144}  \\ \\  =  > \sf d = \sqrt{169}  \\ \\ =  > \boxed{ \sf{  d = 13\:units }}\\
