Because it doesn't have a 3' -OH group and that is the place where the next nucleotide would attach on to. So since it's not there, it can't attach, and therefore terminates.

Find the density of a substance with a mass of 45 grams and a volume of 9
Over [174]

Density = mass / volume

Density = (45g) / (9 [volume units])

Density = 5g / [volume unit]

There was no specification on the units of volume. However, whatever it may be, just replace the square brackets with the value and your units will be correct.

A mixture of gases contains 4.46 moles of neon (Ne), 0.74 mole of argon (Ar), and 2.15 moles of xenon (Xe). Calculate the partia
viva [34]

Explanation:

The partial pressure of an individual gas is equal to the total pressure of the mixture multiplied by the mole fraction of the gas.

Total pressure = 2atm

Mole Fraction = number of moles / total number of moles

Neon

Mole Fraction = 4.46 / 7.35 = 0.607

Partial Pressure = 0.607 * 2 = 1.214 atm

Argon

Mole Fraction = 0.74 / 7.35 = 0.101

Partial Pressure = 0.101 * 2 = 0.202 atm

Xenon

Mole Fraction = 2.15 / 7.35 = 0.293

Partial Pressure = 0.293 * 2 = 0.586 atm

How many moles are there in 3.612 x 1024 molecules of CaO?
melamori03 [73]

The number of moles in 3.612 x 10²⁴ molecules of CaO is 6 moles.

Number of moles in the molecules

The number of moles in 3.612 x 10²⁴ molecules of CaO is calculated as follows;

6.02 x 10²³ molecules = 1 mole

3.612 x 10²⁴ molecules = ?

= (3.612 x 10²⁴ ) / (6.02 x 10²³ )

= 6 moles

Thus, the number of moles in 3.612 x 10²⁴ molecules of CaO is 6 moles.
