A relatively inexpensive way to acquire the support of adversaries is the manipulation tactic, which is used to overwhelm the resistance to change, yet it can flop if the objectives become knowledgeable of the tactic.

A manipulation tactic that is often used to avoid confrontation, hide intent, or avoid spilling the beans is controlled anger. Victims are intimidated or scared to submission thru threats that are used by manipulators such as going to the police of reporting false abuses.
