What 7(b) means is that a force of 50N is working against the speed of the car since friction helps prevent objects from slipping and it also reduces their speed.

So, all you need to do is subtract 50N from your resultant force on Part A.

You found your resuitant force by doing F=ma.

F = 1000 x 4

F = 4000N

Now, just subtract 50N from it and this will be the resultant force of your car on a rough road with a friction of 50N.

F = 4000N - 50N

F = 3950N

How does kinetic energy affect the stopping distance of a small vehicle compared to a large vehicle?
zhannawk [14.2K]
The equation for kinetic energy is KE=1/2mv^2
So if the small vehicle AND the large vehicle both had the same speed, the large vehicle would have more kinetic energy since it has greater mass, resulting in a much more larger stopping distance than the smaller car.

The United States and South Korean soccer teams are playing in the first round of the World Cup. An American kicks the ball, giv
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:v=2.82 m/s

Explanation:

Given

initial velocity of ball(u)=3.6 m/s

ball rolls a distance(s) of 5 m

ball acceleration =-0.5 m/s^2

Velocity of ball when it is intercepted by Korean player

v^2-u^2=2as

v^2=3.6^2+2(-0.5)(5)=7.96

v=\sqrt{7.96}

v=2.82 m/s

Which statement about tempture is correct
motikmotik

Answer:

B temperature is an indirect measurement of the heat energy in a substance

Explanation:

The concept of temperature can be easily understood by looking at what happens when two objects are placed in contact with each other. By common experience, we know that the hotter object transfers heat energy to the colder object, until the two objects are in thermal equilibrium (= they have same temperature).

Thinking about the example above, we can say therefore that the temperature is an indirect measurement of the heat energy possessed by an object (or substance).

For a monoatomic gas, for instance, we define its internal energy as

U=\frac{3}{2}nRT

where n is the number of moles, R is the gas constant, and T is the absolute temperature. From the formula, we see that the temperature is related to the internal energy of the gas, so measuring the temperature means indirectly measuring its internal energy.
