Yes

the boundaries are 4 and 5
the smallest mixed number approaches 4
if we assume 4 then
4²=16
that is minimum, but it has to be slightly greater than 4 at least, so the product will be slightly greater than 16

the larges mixed number approaches 5
if we assume 4 then
5²=25
that is maximum, but it has to be slightly less than 5 at most, so the product will be slightly less than 25

A box company is designing a new rectangular gift container. The marketing department has designed a box with a width 2 inches s
Sladkaya [172]
Volume of the box= 56 cubic inches
let x is the length, then
width =2 inches shorter than its length = x - 2
height = 3 inches taller than its length = x+3
Volume = length x width x height
56 = x x (x-2) x (x+3)
56 = (x² -2x)(x+3)
56 = x³ +3x² -2x² - 6x
56 = x³ + x² -6x
x³+x²-6x-56 = 0
using the rational root theorem and factoring the polynomial;
(x-4)(x² +5x +14) = 0
from here;
x-4 = 0
x = 4
So, length = 4 inches
width = x - 2 = 4 -2 = 2 inches
length = x + 3 = 4 + 3 = 7 inches
volume = l x w x h = 4 x 2 x 7 = 56

James Wants to triple his vegetarian meatball recipe that uses 1 lb. 10 oz. of tofu how much tofu will he need in total
AVprozaik [17]
Answer: The tripled tofu is 4 lb. 14 oz. Explanation: So you first want to turn your mass into the same unit, so change the pounds of tofu into ounces. There are 16 ounces in a pound, which means the total mass of the original tofu could be written as (16 oz.) + 10 oz. = 26 oz. tofu. Multiply this by 3, and you have tripled the tofu. 3 * 26 = 78. To simplify it, divide 78 oz by 16 to find pounds, and leave the remainder in ounces. 78/16 = 4 lb. 14 oz tofu.

Penny joined a yoga studio that charges a $25 membership fee and $45 each month. Assume y = total cost and x = number of months.
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

y=45x+25

Step-by-step explanation:

y=45x+25

25 is a one-time fee so it is at the end. 45 is the monthly fee so it goes in front of x.
