Answer:

Option B. A reaction that removes essentially all H+ and OH-

Explanation:

A neutralization reaction is a reaction involving acid and base to form salt and water only. In this reaction, the H+ from the acid is completely neutralize by the OH-

From the base. Hence, we can a neutralization reaction is a reaction that removes the H+ and OH- from reactant to form water. This is illustrated below

NaOH + HCl —> NaCl + H2O

Ionically:

OH- + H+ —> H2O

From the above, we see clearly that the reaction removed the H+ from the acid and OH- from the base to form water.

Which of the following pairs contains a conjugate acid-base pair?
zzz [600]
Remember that a conjugate acid-base pair will differ only by one proton.
None of the options you listed are conjugate acid-base pairs as none of them differ only by one proton (or H⁺)
An example of a conjugate acid-base pair would be NH₃ and NH₄⁺NH₃ + H₂O --> NH₄⁺ + OH⁻NH3 is the base, and NH₄⁺ is the conjugate acid

What volume will 0.405 g of krypton gas occupy at STP?
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

The answer to your question is V = 0.108 L or 108 ml

Explanation:

Data

Volume = ?

mass = 0.405 g

Temperature = 273°K

Pressure = 1 atm

Process

1.- Convert mass of Kr to moles

                  83.8 g of Kr -------------------- 1 mol

                     0.405 g     -------------------  x

                     x = (0.405 x 1) / 83.8

                     x = 0.0048 moles

2.- Use the Ideal gas law to solve this problem

                   PV = nRT

- Solve for V

                      V = nRT / P

- Substitution

                      V = (0.0048)(0.082)(273) / 1

- Simplification

                       V = 0.108 / 1

- Result

                       V = 0.108 L

10 points !! Which can happen during a physical change?
Sveta_85 [38]
I think that the answer is A because if you think about water for an example. When water turns into ice, it's still technically water, just the molecules are frozen. The water is physically changed. It could also see why you think it is B but I don't think so completely. It doesn't really make sense to me. So I'd choose A. It's definitely not C or D.
